National Suicide Prevention Week

As some of you may know, the week of September 9 - 15 is National Suicide Prevention Week. An organization that I have worked with in the past and is very dear to my heart, To Write Love On Her Arms, is raising money to donate directly towards suicide prevention.

As someone who struggles with depression, this is an issue that is incredibly important to me. I’ve set up a fundraising page benefiting To Write Love On Her Arms. It would mean the world to me if you would donate or spread the message along to your friends and family.

121 million people worldwide suffer from depression. 2/3 of those never get help. Untreated depression is the leading cause of suicide, and suicide is the third leading cause of death among adolescents. We can change those numbers. We can end the stigma attached to depression, mental illness, and suicide. We can prevent further tragedies from happening.

Zombie painting!

1st photo: Totally looks like he’s wearing a turtleneck hahaha. What kind of lame-ass zombie wears a turtle neck?

2nd photo: Darkened his face and added some purple and red shadows. Added some purple shadows to his tongue.

3rd photo: Added blood, a second eye (I wanted him to only have one eye for a bit but then decided it looked too weird), and touched up the background on the right side of his neck.

4th photo: Touched up his nose and forehead. Final product.

I’m not a great artist but I’m pretty happy with how this painting turned out. I usually just paint random abstract shit!

STEVEN MOFFAT ATTENDING COMIC CON WITH DOCTOR WHO

Just revealed on the San Diego Comic Con website is Sunday’s scheduling, and in addition to Martin Freeman’s appearance for The Hobbit on Saturday July 14, there’s another Sherlock related treat at the world famous event. Doctor Who is taking over the gigantic Hall H in the middle of the Con’s final day on Sunday July 15! Cast and Crew are due to be in attendance, including Steven Moffat himself.
