Hi everyone! I've been working on this legacy challenge for a while, and it's finally done! I'm going to be posting my gameplay, so if you want to get a feel for the challenge, follow along. Or, if you want to play it yourself, please do so! I'd LOVE to see how it goes, so tag me if you do! ❤
General Rules
Play on Normal lifespan
Occult sims are optional!
Feel free to give sims corresponding hair, clothes, and house color schemes, but this is completely optional!
No cheats that will give you an advantage over other players
No money cheats!
Begin gameplay with a starter budget
If any of these rules make gameplay less fun, ignore them! I want this challenge to be enjoyable for everyone <3
Generation 1: Red
Even before you achieve fame, you’re the most feared intern in the office. You are confident, sassy, and will do whatever it takes to succeed. You rise through the ranks of the staff at the San Myshuno Times, making enemies and forging alliances along the way. You’re an acquired taste, but your stamp of approval is desired by up-and-coming and professional artists alike.
Traits: Self-Assured, Art Lover, Mean
Aspiration: Painter Extraordinaire
Career: Critic - Art Critic
Goals:
Complete the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration
Max the Critic career in the Art Critic branch
Max the Painting and Charisma skills
Become at least a 2-star celebrity
Marry a coworker OR a sim with the Snob trait (if a coworker has the Snob trait, even better!)

Generation 2: Orange
Your parents weren’t the nicest people, but you never cared. You had an uncanny ability to make everybody laugh, and it filled you with joy. You’d much rather tell some jokes or stream yourself playing guitar than go on a date. Your carelessness leads to two unplanned pregnancies, and to no one’s surprise, you’re not the most involved parent. But when you get older, you meet someone who you decide is worth fighting for, and your first successful relationship begins...

Generation 3: Yellow
Your childhood was chaotic; whether it was an insufficient amount of income, a lack of good parenting, or your parent’s new fling that caused the instability. As you got older, you decided that no other child should grow up in such an unstable place. So, you decide to become a politician. Your lack of money growing up also caused a fairly materialistic mindset in you. You desperately want to be wealthy, and save nearly every penny you make.
Traits: Ambitious, Outgoing, Good
Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy
Career: Politician - Charity Organizer
Goals:
Complete the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration
Max the Politician career in the Charity Organizer branch

Generation 4: Green
You were always the kid with dirt on your face and carrot sticks in your lunch instead of chicken nuggets. Therefore, you were always the kid who got teased. But it didn’t matter. You had your plants and your outdoor crafts and your baking, and you were happy. And then you met your spouse, and you were even happier. You got married young, and are fiercely attached to your partner. You’ve never had a person to yourself before, but them? They’re yours. At first, you’re happy together. But then the honeymoon phase ends, and you learn that you are NOT meant for each other. The final straw is when your spouse cheats on you. Your divorce follows quickly after. But it’s okay. You love your plants and your outdoor crafts and your baking, and they love you.

Your parents didn’t have the best relationship; in fact, it was downright awful. You inherited your parent’s love of nature, but your biggest desire is to raise a happy family. As a young adult, you move to the beautiful island of Sulani, the perfect place to raise a family and make a positive change to the environment.

Career: Conservationist - Either Branch

Generation 6: Purple
Your parents always told you your intelligence was a gift, and the sky was the limit. And you took that to heart. You dream of being the first sim to discover aliens, and through your dedicated work in the field of science, you succeed! But then you are abducted, and your love of aliens turns to fear.
Traits: Genius, Paranoid, Bookworm
Aspiration: Nerd Brain
Career: Scientist

Complete the Nerd Brain aspiration
Max the Logic and Rocket Science skills
Max the Scientist career
Marry another scientist
Be abducted by aliens and get pregnant (you may cheat for this, and it is up to you if you keep the baby or return it to its home world)
Generation 7: Pink
Your parents were paranoid beyond belief, and spent more time inventing devices to protect themselves from the “aliens” than they did spending time with you. So, your bestest friend growing up was your dog/cat. Animals are your main focus, things such as romance and friendships falling to the wayside. As an adult, you move out with the desire to open and run your own veterinary clinic. You treat every patient and pet owner with the utmost respect and class, and your clinic quickly reaches 5 stars. You don’t have any plans to fall in love or get married, but when a client catches your eye, you know it’s fate. You only have one child together, and it’s quite late in your life, but you don’t regret it. Well, that’s a lie. You do regret dying while your child is so young. They needed you, but you couldn't be there.

Generation 8: Black
Your parents died when you were just a teenager, and in order to make ends meet, you began to “borrow” from your neighbors. A friend of yours hooked you up with a bit of a shady job, and it turned out you were pretty great at being a criminal. Your hacking skills are unparalleled, but your cleaning skills? Not so much. You and a fellow coworker have an on-and-off romance, but when you both discover there’s a baby on the way, you decide to make it official. But after your child is born, you know it isn’t working out, and you call it quits. Your kid sees their other parent on the weekends, but mostly live with you in your messy apartment. Suffice to say, you are not a stellar parent, but you try. Your child just seems miserable all the time…
Traits: Kleptomaniac, Geek, Slob
Aspiration: Chief of Mischief
Career: Criminal - Oracle Branch
Goals:

In fact, your life is a mess of business deals, horrible bosses, and passive-aggressive coworkers. Working in business is not fun! You dream of finding love, but that’s a bumpy road as well. After two failed relationships, you finally meet the one. But hey, three is the magic number!

Your future spouse is just as passionate about their creative hobby, and while you two never have kids, you continue to birth your creative ideas until you die.
