our thoughts on uhcg loony are very all over the place but like. genuinely we struggle with believing that we're NOT supposed to be reading him as being Abnormal About Legundo. so much he does is a direct and reflexive response to either codeneon or legs specifically. legundo is specifically given the "you'll hurt yourself too" lines during the dream sequence. they've referred to their own damn generations as being bookends before. loony is the one to codify legundo's generational title and then keeps setting himself in direct contrast to it ("light cannot exist without the darkness that makes it shine"). he named his mace Beacon's Destiny despite legundo never actually having a mace, as though its one purpose is to seal legundo's fate. even the references to WTDE aren't helping.

what is, and i cannot stress this enough, his problem. how else are we supposed to read this other than like. estranged deeply fraught borderline-romantic connection. two people CAN be friends weird style but how the hell else are we supposed to interpret this given their repeated history of betrayal and/or death throughout kayfabe.
