Stop using "miku made (x)" to defend something being shit. Miku didn't make minecraft. Notch did. Notch is a nazi and a generally evil person and his antisemitism is present in minecraft whether you like it or not. I love minecraft but the villagers make me uncomfortable. I'm not comfortable as a jew w/ characters who are big nosed and money-loving, made by a nazi, being treated as these cute icons by the "uwu minecraft cottagecore frog snail bees miku" crowd.

I like minecraft! But like. Stop using this stupid meme to excuse and ignore its faults.

Adding on as an ethnic jew here! I think the origins of the Miku meme were wholesome, but most people just use that meme as a way to like, avoid thinking critically about anything. Whenever I try to talk about Minecraft’s faults, and the way it was affected by Notch, I am interrupted every time I say his name with “you mean MIKU” and it’s just...I don’t know, disheartening?

People are starting to do the same thing with Harry Potter now, and it’s really deconstructing Jewish people’s discussions about things in the source material that CANNOT be separated from the creator, like the villagers in Minecraft as per your example. The way goyim exclude actual Jewish people from conversations that have EVERYTHING to do with Jewish people needs to change.

On a side note, if you draw villagers as like a ‘cutesy’ thing, please be careful with the features you give them. Generally be cautious about antisemetic stereotypes of Jewish people, and apply that caution when drawing villagers, or hell, ANY character. And if I see anyone making an ‘evil banker villager with a big ol’ nose and evil goat horns UwU’ OC, I will go fucking ballistic.

TL;DR: LISTEN TO US JEWISH PEOPLE! And be careful of stereotypes in your media/characters.

Not many peopl talk about the fact that Minecraft basically has 3 canon characters. Steve, Alex, and Jean (which is the name of the Ender Dragon. Yes, she’s a girl.)

We also unofficially have Herobrine, who’s been acknowledged time and again in the patch notes, so… I guess like, 4 canon characters.
