"Excuse me but, Riccardo is disgusting and creepy."

"So, why would I?"

"A bit jumpy, eh?" It was a satisfying enough reaction for Raven, though not exactly the one he expected. He was hoping for something more along the lines of drolling all over his chest, or asking him in marriage. Admittedly, he didn’t get that reaction from anyone to begin with, but he expected a normal person to be able to see in him what his crazy friends didn’t.

"A soldier? Used to be one. Now I’m just a simple mercenary." Raven answered the woman’s question as he slowly lifted his left arm, opening and closing its palm a few times, as if to test if it was working right. "Name’s Raven. I travel the world with a bunch of idiots by my side." Raven smiled as he insulted his allies without a second thought, though thankfully none of them were there to hear it. A small, barely audible laugh could be heard coming from him at the realization that calling his group ‘a bunch of idiots’ seemed to be slowly but surely becoming an habit when introducing himself to strangers. He made a mental note to make sure never to forget adding that, unless one of them were close by.

"I didn't mean to make assumptions. It came to mind with how you were dressed."

She gave a simple nod, a small smile growing while he introduced himself. A wave of relief rushed over her. He was a bit odd, but he seemed friendly enough so far. "Raven?" She placed a dainty hand underneath her chin, pondering, then gave another firm nod. "The name suits you, I think. I'm Fiona." 

She was hardly aware her eyes were unconsciously drifting over to his strange looking arm until it suddenly moved. "It sounds like you have some interesting friends." She spoke lightheartedly, trying to avoid keeping her eyes fixated in the same place. "Unless for some odd reason you travel around with enemies instead."

As if only now registering all of what he had said, she looked over at him with eyes growing ever wider with curiosity.

"You travel all over? I'm a bit envious. What kind of places have you been?"

"Hello there." 

Noticing the behavior of the girl before her, Fiona gives her a gentle smile.

"Are you all right?"

"Like what you see?" Raven spoke as he looked towards the woman that instantly caught his attention. It wasn’t there there was anything special about her, but that is exactly what made her unique in his eyes. After spending so much time in a group filled with reincarnations of legendary warriors, powerful wizards and the local ageless elf, a normal person being startled by his appearance was a breath of fresh air.

"If you do, then sorry to say I’m not available." He continued to talk, a smile forming on his face. It wasn’t exactly normal of him to be a ‘tease’ as most people say, but there was a first time for everything. "It’s fine if you want to admire me, though." That being said, he wasn’t going to let a chance to show off one of his best qualities slip away. Most of his body was still completely natural, and he knew there were a lot of people interested in tanned men with muscle filled bodies. Sure, the huge armored left arm might turn some of them off, but nothing he could do about that.

"No no, it's not that, umm..." She started, then felt her face heating up when she noticed her own wording and turned her gaze away a bit. "Oh my, so sorry, that's not what I meant! I mean--"

Maybe his approach was what was making her so flustered. Not used to that. Not much used to talking to people at all anymore actually. Not unless they wanted to kill her. 

Fiona quickly composed herself, looking the man straight on again. "You caught me off guard, I'm afraid to admit. I'm a bit jumpy lately." She paused for a moment and quietly laughed at herself. "I've never been so good with words, though. Are you a soldier or something...?"

The blonde stared him up and down, mouth sealed shut for a few moments.

"Nice to... meet you...?" She managed out slowly, finally speaking. Not necessarily scared, but a bit started by the strangers sudden appearance and his interesting shade of yellow eyes - and his everything else.
