Y'all are fucking idiots. Clean energy will NEVER be enough to replace the energy we have now. We’d have to tear down DOZENS of forests just to fit enough windmills and solar panels to get even a QUARTER (probably less, tbh) of the energy we can produce now.

Yeah, sure, when they’ve already calculated that a few square miles of panels in the empty ass Arizona desert could power the whole nation. But ok, fracking and the diminishing petroleum supply is worlds better.

Nevermind that windmills are often most efficient off the coast. There they take up no land, impact no trees, don’t pollute the water, and are conveniently located where winds are often strongest anyway.

And solar panels can literally be built into roofs of buildings and in empty areas like deserts. The sun strikes the Earth with the same amount of energy in an hour that our civilization uses in a year.

But yeah, it would be impossible for us to ever have enough energy from clean sources.

Durr hurr technology is bad and I would rather light shit on fire than have clean energy

also…no forests were cleared to make space for Denmark’s windmills and yet they regularly produce so much power that it covers almost all of the country’s power needs. During the fourteen hours of sleep I’ve had so far today, I had a dream that I was watching the original cut of Black Panther where the movie never left Wakanda but halfway through they realized that they still somehow had to have a Stan Lee cameo so W’Kabi’s introductory scene by the rhinos is him and a bunch of other guys who are guarding the border ushering away this old ass extremely lost white tourist played by Stan Lee holding a map upside down who is like “are you this isn’t the way to South Africa” and W’Kabi’s like “my dude South Africa is south” and that was the white representation in the film

T'challa is a Good Male Protagonist ™ mainly because he is humble and without the ego you see from so so many other male protagonists in blockbuster films

He defers to the wisdom of his mother, his sister, his general, his love, the women around him. He was a sweet and loving son who expressed and enjoyed physical and emotional tenderness from his father.

He’s proud but doesn’t ever disrespect anybody. He values family, affection and emotion and expresses it freely, but still retains the poise of a king.

That’s kind of rare in a lot of the mostly white, mostly male Hollywood protagonist lineup.

He is the male role model our society so desperately needs. We need to see this kind of masculinity over and over and over so men know they can be both.
