New Lab for Wheeljack
He simply nods in a âyouâre welcomeâ sort of manner.Â
Starscream watches Wheeljack as he moves around the lab while he himslef continues to lean on a tabletop with his arms crossed over his chassis.Â
"My plans? Well, first of all, I need to make  sure there are no more conflicts between factions on the planet." Even though..most were practically separated outside of the planet, which put him in charge of the Decepticons. So complicated.. "Get it cities rebuilt to more manageable living styles. And put those in housing."Â
"Also advancements in technology could potentially help us along the way with the restoration. I know this will take time but I have all the time in the world now, without interference.â Looking over at Wheeljack, âDo you have any input or problem?âÂ
âI will help in any way I can, Starscream. For the sake of Cybertron and my debt to you.â
Still examining the lab, the engineer froze in place at something he spotted in the back.  Starscream wouldnâtâŠMoving slowly closer, Wheeljack turned to cross his arms at the seeker.
âI am aware you saved my life and I am grateful, but did you really need to put that in here.â
Wheeljack was of course referencing the CR chamber in the back of the lab. The very familiar CR chamber.
New Lab for Wheeljack
Starscream was awaiting in the lab with his arms crossed behind his back as he awaited for the mech to arrive and soon enough he hears driving just outside. Turning around, he leans against a table and awaits for him to enter.
"Here is the new lab I promised. Will this suffice your liking?" He states simply as his wings flicker on his back.
Looks around the lab with curious optics, something was familiar about this place.
âItâs more than I expected, thank you, Starscream.â
Walking around the large lab, Wheeljack wondered who this used to belong too. Â âWhat are the plans for Cybertron now?â
((Changed the URL again))
So my last math joke got 68 notes on it, and thatâs easily 10x as many as on any other post Iâve ever made.
Youâre all just encouraging me to make bad science puns with crappy line drawings of robots.
I hope you can live with your life choices.
#Well that's certainly one reason not to drink while working... #*chuckles*
It's not advised, no.
I literally got 2 requests so now Iâm just posting more Percy and Wheeljack being idiot scientists because thatâs my favorite.
I slay myself, I really do.
New Lab for Wheeljack
After being busy in trying to get Iacon together again, he almost forgot one of his âpromisesâ so to say. Starscream transforms and goes to one of the new laboratories that was located not too far from his location. It was bigger than Wheeljackâs old one for sure. He did promise a bigger one. And starts to clear the area by using his frame to move slabs of debris away.
Once the clearing is away, he walks inside to find any unwanted debris located in there and getting those out too. Why was he doing all of this dirty work? Not like him but whatever, Wheeljack had saved his life and he was returning that favor.
Finishing with the insides, Starscream stands outside looking at it. âMm." Setting his comm up, he decides to contact Wheeljack.
»Wheeljack. You know that lab I told you about? Well, its ready and Iâm sending you the coordinates.« Pings them to him.
>>On my way, Starscream.<<
Wheeljack didnât expect a new lab so quickly, not when Cybertron was in need of so much repair work. Maybe Starscream had a plan for him, put the engineers skills to good use.
Transforming, Wheeljack drove to the location and skidded to a halt just outside his new lab. Well, Starscream wasnât lying when he said a bigger lab. Time to go greet and thank his new leader.
"Iâll do what I can. I, uhhâŠ" Wheeljack has retained no memories, so he must not recall the fact that the twins had recently taken sick. âI just got over being, uhh, kinda dead so everything from here is gravy, I guess."
For his part, Eject is still feeling a little shell-shocked from how easy and quickly heâd lost a friend. This isnât the first time someone important to him has disappeared (and it wonât, sadly, be the last), and the little mech is beginning to wonder when it will happen again.Â
He will be here for Wheeljack should the engineer need him, but Eject has just grown a shade warier with his affections.
âDying is not a pleasant experience. As morbid as this sounds, I hope yours was less violent than mine.â
Hopefully less painful too, the engineer still had a pounding helm ache after being shot. Â After that everything is a blur, at least Cybertron is safe at least. Just needs a little rebuilding.
âYou are a strong bot, Eject. Iâm sure we will become close again over time. Or I might get my memories back, stranger things have happened.â
Queen
Finny: WARP
Me: YES WJ
Finny: >does SS like it when you call him queen during
Finny: i cant
Me: o-)
Me: yes
Eject frowns, but obligingly settles (a little bit, anyway). He might not have been alive for very long (at least not for the second time around), but it obviously doesnât take him long to immediately settle into his old overprotective ways. Now that he has access to any surveillance system he can get his hands (or, well, processor) on, itâs only bound to get worse.Â
âDonât trust him, Wheeljack. Iâve seen corkscrews less twisty than that guy,â Eject scowls fiercely at the empty air, optics narrowing behind his visor. âSlag, I donât like you beinâ down there all by yourselfâŠâ he sighs. âBe careful, okay? I mean, I know you know what youâre doinâ just⊠just try not to do anythinâ that you think would make me worry.â
âEject, considering past events. Iâll be fine, trust me. Iâm tougher than I look, but you keep safe as well. I donât know whatâs going out there but I hope itâs not a crazy as it is here.â
Wheeljack made a mental note to keep in touch with Eject, it would help the security mech calm and not worry so much. Well it might help calm him down. Eject knew more about him, than Wheeljack knew about Eject. It would be difficult to find out more about this mech but Wheeljack, liked challenges.
((Anon I changed his icon to his head exploding, what more do you want?))
Eject gave a little smile. He already felt a bit better about the situation. Wheeljack may have lost his memories, but he was still Wheeljack. Maybe if they made friends once, they could againâŠ
The mechâs next words stop him in his tracks, though. Ejectâs eyes widen and he sputters, âStarscâTHAT AIRHEAD IS RULINâ CYBERTRON?â He shakes his head. âOh, slag, we gotta get home! We gotta set this right!â He pauses, and then worriedly adds, âYouâre not a prisoner, are you? He ainât hurtinâ you, is he? Because frag, if he isâŠâ he lets his voice trail off angrily.
âEject, calm down!â
The others panic was understandable, but from what the other told him, Eject had just gotten back and shouldnât over exert himself.
âNo one can leave the planet, Eject. And StarscreamâŠStarscream isnât going to hurt me. Before I died..â, that was still a weird thing to say, âBefore I died, I gave Bumblebee advice. It helped stopped, Megatron. Starscream needs me and everyone else alive. Iâm alrightâŠA little worse for wear, but as is all of Cybertron.â
âUnofficially,â Eject admits with a grin. Wheeljack might be⊠different, in a way, now, but heâs still Wheeljack. Eject gives his head a little shake. Looks like heâll have to find someone new to knock him around the head when he doesnât get proper sleep. Eject isnât willingly leaving the Lost Light anytime soon.
âIâm not sure. Some of the crew are still sick, but stable? A lot of time has passed, Iâm still getting caught up on things. It takes a little bit to get your momentum back, once youâve died,â he concludes philosophically. When Wheeljack fills him in on the situation with Cybertron, Ejectâs optics widen. Oh, noâŠ
âWait, Starscream? Youâre trapped on Cybertron with him?â
âSo you took it upon yourself then? Well, thank you, Eject. However you know then how stubborn I am, and I still wonât give up easily.â
It was nice than someone other than Rathcet, went out of their way to make sure he didnât offline himself. RatchetâŠHe could still be alive. Well, that certainly raised the engineers spirits..
Wheeljack had to chuckle, âI understand. Itâs rather strange coming back to life and not knowing how you have returned.â
Ah, there went his went good mood.
âStarscream..Starscream is the new leader of Cybertron.â
There was no point beating around the bush, Eject and the others needed to know.
âMainly you overworked yourself,â Eject replies with something of a wry smile. âAnd a lot of us got sick. Some kind of terrible virus was going around. It doesnât really matter. Weâre both starting from the ground up again, right? Nowhere to go but forward.âÂ
It would feel weird and dishonest to tell Wheeljack that theyâd gotten to be friends. Eject felt that it would seem like he was sort of forcing the issue, trapping Wheeljack somehow⊠best just to let things happen and see if they can be friends again. Still, it hurts to think of how easily he could lose anyone else heâs close to.Â
He winces as Wheeljack mentions his death. âLetâs hope that doesnât happen again. Are you alone there? If things still are the way they were when I was alive and kickinâ, it should be pretty empty.â
âThat sounds like me. Where you in charge of dragging me to a berth to rest?â
It wouldnât be surprising if some was assigned to drag him away from work and force him to relax for a while. While he would normally refuse to leave his work, he would eventually cave and relax for a short while.
âA virus? Is everything alright now?â Wheeljack sighed at the mention of Cybertron, looking around what was left of his lab, the engineer doubted Eject knew of the real damage.
âA lot has happened here, many mechs lost their lives. Things have been said and done and all we can do now is try repair it.â
And hope that Starscream wonât destroy everything again.
âUhâŠâ The minibot opens his mouth, then shuts it again, and just stares at the floor for a few moments. This isnât the first time heâs lost a friend since this crazy mess began, but it doesnât make it any easier. âNo. I guess⊠I guess it doesnât matter,â he concludes.Â
Heâs a little irritated at himself for this; it isnât as if he hasnât lost friends in the war, but to be forgotten is a new and different sort of distressing affair. âYeah,â he concludes, âyeah, it probably is.â His voice is soft, carrying with it an air of defeat. âUm, youâre on Cybertron now, thenâŠ?â
Something was wrong, the engineer could tell. âEject, it matters. What happened? What happened on the Lost Light? I have plenty of free time for a chat, donât worry. Now come on, fill me in on what I have missed.â
It was safe to assume he and Eject had become friends, although the fact he had forgotten so much was worrying. âMy memory might return, my helm was blasted to pieces.â
Shuddering as he remembered being shot, Wheeljack wished he could give Eject some physical support right now. âIâm on Cybertron, or whatâs left of it.â
