If you are a fan of wonderful melodies, experimental production, and sounds unlike the regular pop bubblegum crap you hear on the radio, Audego’s Beneath the Static and the Low is just for you. Audego is simply a breath of fresh air, not sticking to any one-song formula. The song that reveled Audego to be something special to me is there song “Fight.” This slow head nodder is extremely rhythmic and the main synth going throughout is simple yet compliments everything perfectly. Production wise, it caters to everything from spacey melodic, glitchy experimental, electronic based, and not over the top pop. The vocals are very melodic and soothing, and at first listen, seem like they are out of place on an experimental album like this. But the vocals make everything connect perfectly and always bring the heavenly rhythmic sound that Audego has built. Overall, Beneath the Static and the Low is an intriguing and entertainment mix between electronic, pop, and jazz music that should get the attention of anyone’s ear.
