Take me home country road.
I don’t even know how tumblr works anymore!! I feel so out of the loop.
I have a few requests for post baby(ies) tummy tuck photo. Happy to oblige so stay tuned.
I am 5 months post baby number two and have some poundage to lose but let me assure you - no revision needed!! My TT is still holding strong.
Weighing in at 170lbs and I’m not even mad about it because kids happen and my babies are worth it. That being said, this little blog is 11 years old and I think it took eight of those 11 years to realize I will never be 125lbs and THAT IS OK.
Here is to the 140s/150s but most importantly a healthy, happy, fit, strong life.
*knock knock*
Hello? Is this thing still on? Is anybody out there? Can I come back?
Hi, it’s me. I’ve had two children since my last post three years ago because life. Who is still out there?
Almost 38 weeks pregnant and currently at 23 lbs gained. Still powered by plants, but also cupcakes and Taco Bell. #YOPO okay well maybe that’s not a thing but....
Let’s talk about pregnancy post Tummy Tuck!
For those of you wondering about pregnancy post tummy tuck here’s the good, the bad, and the ugly.
The good: You don’t show as much. which is arguably good or bad depending on how you look at it. It took a long time until strangers realized I was pregnant. Seriously like 7.5 months! I’m a 8.5 months pregnant and most people think I’m 5-6 months pregnant. Someone even suggested 3 months pregnant yesterday. I secretly wish I had a bigger bump, but thankful I don’t at the same time. Weird, I know. The good part? I’m very hopeful this means I will bounce back very quickly. My abs are strong and supported and she has not been compromised in any way by my tummy tuck.
The bad: Less bump = less room for baby. Now let me be clear, this only affects me, not her. This child of mine is growing and growing and that means my lungs, bladder, and arteries are more compressed than normal. Shortness of breath is a very normal pregnancy symptom, I just take it to the next level. Plus there was a period of time where she was sending my heart into overactive mode because she was pressing on my arteries and impacting my blood flow. Scary at first, but after going to the hospital we learned that it was positional and I could adjust myself to alleviate it. Plus once she dropped a bit, the episodes were drastically reduced. Breathing is hard, but I just take my time and rest often.
The ugly: Well there really is no ugly part of this. The stretch marks you see in the pregnant photo are all old stretch marks that are more visible now that my skin is stretched. No new stretch marks here. I use oils/lotions daily on my stomach to help avoid new marks from appearing and it has worked wonders.
Baby girl is due in a mere 4 weeks and I can’t wait. Any questions? Drop me a line! Especially if you are contemplating TT and having children. I’m an open book.
Excited to share more as the journey progresses.
Oh heeey tumblrverse, in case you were wondering why I’ve been MIA for oh let’s say 8 months…
Surprise!
Baby girl coming next month. I’m currently 33 weeks and 5 days. I’ve gained 19lbs and I have about 6 weeks left.
Stay tuned for more fun adventures on pregnancy post Tummy Tuck!
