The dark pink lines blend well while still separating the subjects and the touch of fx nicely sets them into the bg (like the warmer red near yuzus legs).

Just a little announcement: looks like I won't be participating in ygo oc week this time. I've done some art for it, but I just feel really terrible about everything I'm creating at the moment.

Might eventually post the art I've already done, but depression is a very annoying and persistent beast. Wishing everyone who is participating best of luck though! Can't wait to see everyone's ocs.

Following my last piece with Yuya and Quaxly, here is Ute and Fuecoco! To be honest, as soon as Skeledirge was revealed, I immediately thought it would suit Ute. From the typing to the design, I just think Skeledirge is a great pokemon for him :)

Inspired by Project Voltage, of course, but I think this outfit if different enough from Miku's Skeledirge outfit to be distinct!

This has been finished for a couple of weeks, Ive just lost track of time and havent really had much time to be online or drawing for the last couple of weeks! I might eventually write a post about other pokemon that fit him, but that will be after YGO OC week at this point. Ill be back to semi-regular posts soon, I swear!

One Of The Top Yugioh Lines Of All Time

With the new pokemon DLC and Hatsune Miku Project Voltage coming out recently, I've been really inspired to draw some more Yugioh x Pokemon. This time I'll be drawing the Dragon Boys with the Paldea starters, in outfits themed as their final evolutions. This one is Yuya with Quaxly!

So, back when Scarlet and Violet first came out, I drew this little doodle:

I really think the newest batch of starters really give off the energy of these boys. The Fire/Ghost typing of Skeledirge gives me huge Phantom Knights vibes (and I love how it has a little birdie). A smirking, Grass/dark cat that's looking down on you screams Joeri to me.

While I don't really think the typing of Quaquaval really fits Yuya too well, I think it's design fits the best. I looked at it and immediately thought 'omg it has hippo carnival energy'. And blue and orange make me think of Yuya.

If I were to choose any starter to represent Yuya, I would probably choose my personal favorite, Prinarina. He has fairy type energy. And silly little clown seal Popplio works so well for him honestly.

Today is the anniversary of my blog, enter-the-performapals! This time last year, I made my first post on this blog, this one right here! Since then, I've had so many great interactions, lovely compliments on my art, participate in fun events, and probably my best year of art development since I started this hobby over a decade ago.

For this piece, I wanted to draw inspiration from the piece that started it all on here, but now adding Judai. This time last year, I was about halfway through my rewatch of Arc-V. Now, I'm a good chunk through GX. Hopefully this time next year I'll be able to add Yusei and possibly even Yuma to the redraw!

Thank you once again to my mutuals, my followers and anyone who's interacted with my posts. I've felt really accepted into the community, and I appreciate everyone who's helped me come this far. Here's to another great year!
