every time i look at the mystery gang i have this like visceral feeling that someone is missing. but nobody ever is. who are they. what happened to them

logically i know this is them. these are the only people in the mystery gang. fred, daphne, velma, shaggy, and scooby. thats the 5 of them. but something deep within my lizard brain is telling me theres a 6th member that has been, for unknown reasons, banished from this timeline and our collective memory as a species

Van showed this to my class last year and then said “this drawing isn’t anywhere online :)” so I wasn’t sure if he wanted us to talk about it outside of class. so I’ve just been haunted by this secret scooby doo character, fully remembering this post in the back of my head, and I couldn’t say anything. But since he just posted it on his instagram I guess it’s fine lol

I promise you it’s not a hoax. If you notice the guy who posted it is Van Partible, aka the guy who made Johnny Bravo. It’s only on that one instagram post because he has the physical drawing and this is the first time he shared it online. Allegedly. The reason he has the drawing is because, if I recall, while they were making the Scooby Doo/Johnny Bravo crossover special, they were going through original art from the archives, asked to keep that one, and they just let him have it. He’s sort of infamous within the industry for being an unofficial archivist for Hanna-Barbera.

Speaking as someone who’s held the original cels of the first time Johnny did the monkey cause he brought them to class, I can attest that this is not a hoax 👍

Broke: Making jokes and allusions to Scrappy as a former sixth member of the Scooby gang who got kicked out and banished from their history, despite the fact that he wasn’t actually that hated overall and the Scooby gang actually tolerated him on account of being a child.

Woke: Making jokes and allusions to a “hipster X”, who was actually banished from the gang and never seen or talked about again sometime after Scooby came along, yet Fred still wears his Ascot every single day.

What does Jinx think of Cleon?

He’s probably the strangest person she ever met. Cleon’s expressionless/poker face(she can’t tell which is it) is one thing. He’s very calm for an average person especially at the face of murder. She can’t tell if he lies about anything. For some reason he avoids talking about anything in his past from before year ago acting like he doesn’t know anything about it.

Jinx only knew about Cleon because of his relationship to Clark. Imagine her surprise when she meets the person who was once described as a friendly fella who wears his heart on his sleeve.
