You and me both..
I need to find some gloves.
I hope my fingers don't freeze off.
[Krista hadn’t been paying attention to much of anything, not really. Not since she’d left the cargo bay and contacted the Captain. She wasn’t even fully aware of how she made it to the shuttle. She vaguely remembered someone ushering her… Startling, she turned to the person next to her. She blinked, and it took longer than it should have to get herself to focus in on the woman before giving her a small smile.] …Yes. Yes, I’m…I’m fine. Are you alright?
[Marlena stopped pacing, smiling back before shaking her head.] I think so. [She sat down in the nearest seat, taking a few more deep breaths, resisting the urge to fist her hands onto the bottom of her uniform.] It's just weird feeling so helpless.
[Marlena took a few deep breaths, pacing back and forth inside the seemingly tiny escape pod. She was trying very hard to keep herself focused. This whole situation had turned into a too close for comfort thing, and she was very worried about everyone else, more than herself at the moment. But whatever happens, happens, and she determined to keep her head straight and her emotions in tact. She took another deep breath, and then because she couldn't help herself, she asked the closest person to her..] Are you okay?
Listen, everyone!
I have experienced the second coming!
Jesus has come, and he is aboard our Starship!
I think you've hit your head really hard.
[She nods] Didn’t think so, but just had to check. I know the Captain has some people switch uniforms when things go awry. [Shrugs and grins] I think your blue looks looks great.
I’m Angela, by the way, in Phaser Control.Â
I don't have enough talent to switch between shirts yet. Maybe soon though. I'm Marlena. [She awkwardly waves.] Nice to meet you.
"Yup! Yup! All good."
"Thanks for asking. I’m also going to guess that you also have no idea what happened?"
Not a clue.
Yes, I’m fine as well. Good thing I was sitting when it happened, but- [She shrugged at Marlena’s question.] I didn’t get any notifications that shields had gone off nor were the outside phasers affected. I can only hope it’s nothing more serious than perhaps one of our navigators elbowed something. [Angela takes in a breath and her mind goes through more serious scenarios] Are you from Engineering by chance?
I wish I was in Engineering, red suits me much better. I come from the labs. [She straightened the bottom of her uniform.]
"No clue. That’s not my area of specialty, unfortunately. You alright?"
'm fine. Only hurt my pride by falling over. Are you okay?
[The sudden jolt, caused Angela to drop her PADD and her papers. Quickly gathering her things, she peered out her control room, matching other clueless faces.] I have no idea. My screens didn’t tell me we were hit with anything. I think we just… stopped? Are you alright?Â
[Marlena rubbed the side of her head, leaning against one of the walls for a moment before standing straight.] I'm fine, are you okay? Why would we stop? [She looked around, watching as a few people stumbled about.]
Does anyone know what just happened?
Red or Blue?
[Stretching, he’s entering the room, planning to take a few minutes off. His PADD under his arm, he paused, glancing over Marlena.] Starfleet regulated temperature, supposed to be optimal for working. But it’s cold as hell anyway.Â
Guess you’re having a good day?
[She smiles, sitting up and swinging her feet back down to the floor] More like optimal for making ice, Captain. [She rubs just underneath her eyes] I could have used some more sleep, but yes.
It's always slightly colder in here. [She's sprawled out on a rec room couch, talking mostly to herself, her PADD laying forgotten on the floor]
