There’s a small hum in the air, a rumbling from the guardian’s chest as he mulls over the question presented to him.  He’s running fingers through his hair, messing up the already semi-messy blonde hair he sports every day.

“I suppose we all lie at some point, don’t we?  Whether it’s to protect ourselves or others, so I suppose as long as you’re doing it for the right reasons, then there’s no issue with it.”

Born as a  landvættir, Daimon felt a pull towards cemeteries, an uncommon area for land wights to protect.  He’s cold and harsh at times; uncaring for humans as he protects the tombstones and mausoleums from those who only wish to deface them.  He grows flowers of his own, bringing them to remember the dead whose family has long forgotten them.  He poses as a human during the day, a gravekeeper whose sole job is to care for the cemetery, to clean dead and rotten flowers and clean the headstones of painting and slurs.  At night, he shows his true self, all pale skin and intricate horns that wander the grounds, chasing those who dare to enter his cemetery at night.

Name:  Reinund

Species:  Dökkálfar (Norse dark elf)

Story:

Reinund was a dark elf, banned from Alfheim and from the underground where the Dökkálfar dwell.  He was tricked by Loki, like many gods and demigods were, set on a mission to kill the leader of the Ljósálfar (light elves), who Loki had disguised as his own commander.  Upon killing his own commander, Reinund was banished from the realms, cast out by Odin himself to reside on Earth amongst the humans.  His wings have been stripped from his body, and he lives a meager life, taking odd jobs and adjusting to human life as best as he can.

It’s the smell of old and new books mixing, the sound of murmuring voices, pens scratching at paper and chairs scooting across carpet that has Cyrsis falling into a trance.  It’s his home, among books and other collectibles he’s gathered over the centuries--some he snuck from Oitera that wouldn’t be too out of place on Earth; though his most valuable treasures remain at home, housed in shelves and around his neck.  Fingers trace over the pendant, a simple stone set in a metal and leather strap--it was his mother’s, and his most prized possession that he refuses to remove.

The door opens, snapping the Ezinytdan from his trance for a moment until eyes meet with a familiar face.

Lips and fingers fumble, flipping through comically large pages of a children’s book, his lips trying to make sense of the words before his eyes, but it’s difficult at times.  The letters all look the same, and some are too similar to Uglethi that he slips into his maiden tongue, earning raised eyebrows from Ian at times until he notices, red in the face and embarrassed--frustrated with himself when he can’t read.

It’s finally enough when he slips up again, Uglethi leaving his lips and he realizes it when he hears a chuckle that causes him to slam the book shut (the squeaky button on the front making a pitiful sound as he does), and he’s red in the face, nearly the color of his own hair.

“I can’t do it!”

There’s a hitch in his breath, a hand grasping at Joshua’s waist to bring the older man closer to his side.  They’re out for once, the Creas’ tattoos showing, hair messy, enough to make anyone think twice of who he is, and he’s boring holes into the side of a stranger’s head for approaching the male beside him.  Rylvan’s possessive, even though there’s a question in the air as to what the kingpin is to him, but he knows that he’s marked the older man as his--the sounds behind closed doors enough proof of that.

He can almost hear the laughter the other is trying to hold back at how Rylvan clings onto him, a few fingers slipping underneath the older’s shirt to grip bruises into pale skin.

wow, i can’t believe it’s been 4 months already on this blog!! we’ve had some ups & we’ve had some downs, but i’m so glad you’re all following me & i hope you have an amazing rest of the year!! i hope you all pass your exams & i hope that life goes exactly the way you want it to!! here’s to another 4 months & i hope you’ll still be here when i get there!!
