At this point it's not even about “different interpretations" it's just denying what's in the text just because Jax didn't turn to the camera and say "I am a trans woman" because Gooseworx thought the viewers were smart enough to figure that out on their own. Honestly I think people are more than in the right to be upset over how White Lily's character ended. Like okay sure it was always going to end like that logically (though it was really easy to just... find a loophole),

The issue is that you can't just make a character who's extremely mentally ill and suicidal have an arc where she realized she needs to move on from her faults, needs to forgive herself and allow herself to finally be happy after everything that happened, and then give her an ending where her death was the ONLY possible way she could "attone" for what she's done. You. You guys do understand the issue with that, right. "It's a cookie game" I cannot begin to stress how common it is in media for people to kill off mentally ill characters that were starting to heal as a way to end their stories. And I cannot begin to stress how awful of a message that is. It really is kind of a big deal

BY episode 15 was an absolutely abysmal way to end everything off. All the characters who had implied or canon suicidal ideations DYING and proving their worldview and PV treating WL's death like it was about HIMSELF and WL leaving everything behind in death and not being able to let herself be forgiven EVEN THOUGH HER WHOLE BY ARC WAS ABOUT THAT and shadow shit cookie becoming a multiversal level threat because he's the favorite apparently even though hes an alleyway tier at BEST?? the happy ass end credits music too like they genuinely thought this would be a happy ending for everyone?? And the way that all the elementals barely did ANYTHING including millennial tree and sugar swan being humbled EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE THE FUCKING CREATORS OF EARTHBREAD and how ESPRESSO. FUCKING ESPRESSO MANAGED TO DO MORE THAN THE ANCIENT HEROES IS BAFFLING TO ME. FUCKING BAFFLING at this point im better off deleting the game and if by may timekeeper doesnt come to fix things im just swearing off this game permanently

Like im so upset at the ending?? It just feels so. Done for shock factor. Dont get me wrong i loved the doomed purelily but not like this,,, ive been collecting my thoughts so:

White lilys character development felt like it was for nothing, she was always going to be the one to defeat dark enchantress, whether she went through silent salt or not. She LITERALLY learnt what true freedom meant as she awakened yet somehow thats forgotten as when she dies she says shes 'truly free'? And that sends SUCH a bad message during these times, and personally my mental health has been awful as of late and this update is affecting me 😭

She shouldve stayed alive and led cookies to true freedom without the witches, paralleling dark enchantress. Her death left so many plot holes, she should've been able to have a talk with the ancients. And now that she died in front of them, they have survivors guilt, they'd feel like they absolutely have to forgive her for all her wrongs (i know she didnt do much, it was dec, but in just saying this because this is how these sacrifices work pyschologically on others 🤓☝️)

And they didnt even react to her death?? They just say there with tears in their eyes THEY WERE LITERAAALLLY HER FRIENDS!!! Hey guys! Someone youve known for centuries just died in front of you! Im also so annoyed pure vanilla didnt get to tell white lily how he felt BEFORE she died. She probably always knew but it wouldve been nicer for her to have said 'ive always known your true feelings' or whatever nonsense STOP LEAVING MAJOR PLOT HOLES WHO DID THIS WHO WROTE THIS!!!!
