can you imagine the absolute relief dean would feel in an established relationship with sam? that man's primary love language is touch, and being able to have that with sam? his favourite person? his literal soulmate? holy shit, he would lose it. obviously the sex would be great (we all agree), but what about those long, tender moments after? when they're both sweaty and messy but sam's pressed right against him and they're laughing and kissing? being allowed - encouraged! - to fall asleep together? the relief he would feel at being allowed to comfort sam physically, when he's hurt or waking up from a nightmare, without worrying about it being "too much"? when he needs comfort and it's sam there, pulling him into a hug, ignoring dean's resistance - "don't hug me like I'm short" "you're short to me, come here" - kissing him, rubbing his back? dean being able to play with sam's hair? trace little words into his skin while sam's waking up? just, dean being able to touch sam??
