STATE OF THE EQUIQUEST ADDRESS
Hi y'all, this is the equiquest person
I started Equiquest in like 2012 and it only took me so long to get back to it because that's how long it took me to realize I was a woman
Ok but really I had so much fun when I started the remaster project but fell down a really shitty pit of "I HAVE NO TIME AND I MUST SCREAM"
I can't say it's fixed, BUT I can say that I'm in a happier place for the first time in like 2 years!!!! I wanna get back in this shit! I wanna get on the fruit rumpus website thing! I want to do hoodrat shit with my friends!!!!
So, here's my current plan of what I'm gonna do without rushing myself into self-destruction for the 18th time…
I'm rereading the old stuff!
I've been reading the original adventure at work on breaks and reacquainting myself with everything and having a ball, it'll take me a while. and also wow almost every single picture is broken I thought we fixed that originally
boy if the remake's pics are broken that'd be funny
i'm too scared to check yet help (WE HAVE THE FILES DON'T SCREAM YET)
After I get all caught up I'mma draw stuff at my own pace
In my magical christmasland scenario I'm putting a full day off each week into doing fun art stuff so I can start backlogging some new stuff!! But while I'm doing that, after I get a groove going--
3. I wanna take down the remaster Equiquest 2012 2020 and reserialize it???
Like I think it's a tall order for a lot of people to go "hey start reading this really long thing so you can catch up to when it starts doing new stuff in 1 day", so--like I want to keep all the original stuff as it is right now, just saved off to the side, so it can get updated a few pages a day and segue into 2026 panels without a break!
I get that some folks might feel weird about that, but then like 8 people will read this, so honestly shut up it worked for homestuck so it'll work for this nothing fanfiction too bleh
Hopefully I can still work with other folks!! I really enjoyed working with an Equiquest team last time. A couple folks have really politely told me they'd like to help if called upon, and while I won't hold them to that because I an no jailer, if people want to volunteer and are over 18 I would be overjoyed to work together on no-pressure random panel bullshit that just barely fits within the equiquest style guide (lol).
If it becomes a thing that makes any level of money, we'll have to figure out how that works and there'd definitely be a splitting of dosh, or I'll throw my hands up and say "100% to charity fuck you" if it gets stressful, but that's a path to cross only if it ever gets to that point and I want the bases covered. For now, I'll just raise the beacon when I'm up to random people and their random drawings and stuff for fun, it's a big help that has helped me put the story out faster before, and as a full-timer with other creative pursuits it'll probably mean a world of difference :)
