Wait.. I just made a connection.. Deniz in the new trailer shouting at her mum saying "If you don't even love me, maybe I'm not someone who can be loved." and Asli in Carpinti telling her sister who is played by the same actress as Deniz "Who will want me if my mum doesn't even want me?" This was a sign, I'm starting Carpinti soon. It has 13 episodes so at least I know what I'm getting into. I just watched the trailers and I got spoiled through an edit I still have saved, this is going to be very very sad.. passt perfekt zu mir.☺️
The last time I was interested in watching several Turkish dizis was back in 2015/16.. my cousin and I were sticking our phones out of my grandmother's apartment because she didn't have any wifi and my dad's childhood friend who was living across the street gave us access to their wifi😔 I was also watching Pretty Little Liars back then and the Turkish adaption of PLL just started airing and I convinced my cousin to watch it with me, I don't think either of us ever finished the show. And then we visited my aunt's family and my cousin and I watched Gossip Girl together. Cilek Kokusu, Kiralik Ask and Baba Candir airing the same year, Günesin Kizlari airing the year after.. I don't miss being that age, I just miss the good feelings that the shows gave me.
Helin, I hope you get all the roles you want in the future..
Deniz is always thinking about other people, her younger brother, Aras..
Helin as Deniz is the best thing about this dizi right now😭 Why exactly are we running in circles with the main story? Why are we watching Aras and Teoman fight each other every episode? What is the purpose of Teoman wanting to torture Aras every episode?
I got too invested in this. I got too invested in Deniz, the poor girl is suffering every episode. If you ignore everything Teoman did, theoretically you could enjoy his and Deniz's story. But unfortunately he did what he did. Deniz thinking she is unworthy of love and then falling in love with Teoman.. people on twitter giving me hope that Deniz and Aras are going to be endgame, but I don't know what to believe anymore. They already fucked up the brothers' story, now they are going to fuck up Deniz as a character. So much wasted potential with every character and every storyline.

D17 had potential but they wasted a good part of it. I do not understand what they are doing with Teoman's character, every episode he reaches a new low. How exactly are they going to redeem him? There is nothing to redeem😭 Who even wants the secret to be out at this point, poor Aras has been searching for his brother for years just for his brother to be.. this. At this point I want the "ters köse" theories to be true but there is no way someone else is his brother😔 I think it was pretty clear after episode 2. Unfortunately. I guess at least the actors are having fun while filming in Bodrum.
Have I calmed down a bit? Here are two new songs I discovered :)

i think waiting together is a love language. wait for the train with me, so we can talk a little longer. wait for dinner with me, we can slow dance in the kitchen. wait for me until i can talk after crying my eyes out, hold me, we will figure it out. wait for me when it gets rough, i know i can get through this (with you). wait for me in the car, this song is too good to not finish listening to it. wait for the first snow with me, cold red noses and bright eyes. lets wait for each other, i love you.
I know it goes against everything we've ever been taught, but we do need to put in the work to realize that being ugly is...completely fine. like entirely neutral. so is being conventionally attractive. neutral. not just for other people, but for ourselves. you need to be able to look at yourself and see what you perceive to be physical flaws and go "this is okay, this is the least important part of who I am." It's so beyond okay and normal and fine to be ugly. And I know! Easier said than done. But I do genuinely believe that freedom from looking into the mirror and hating yourself is a worthy goal. Freedom from judging a person immediately based off of their appearance is a worthy goal. Freedom from buying the thousands of products they try and tell you will make you perfect, as if that should be the aim and goal, is a worthy goal.
