snk has been with me for years.

trying not to be so emotional but but watching it for the first time when youre only 16 years old and now im 21, im really gonna miss waking up every month going through spoilers and reading a new chapter. it really is like a new start. gosh i loved the characters.

minus how i feel about the ending and somethings i cant believe its really over.

No but for real I think the reason SNK ending is such a gut punch to me is because like…I remember, sophmore year of high school, my friend and I ditching gym class to go sit in the corner and watch the newest episodes when they’d come out - this was around the time the first season was just getting animated and the English dub hadn’t even been released.

It’s wild to me because SNK was one of the pieces of material that I looked to when conceiving my own writing, and one that helped influence me into becoming a writer. I kept up as a casual fan throughout the years (I remember the agonizingly long wait time between seasons of the anime, lol) and now that it’s over, and, coincidentally, my birthday is in a week, it kinda feel like the closing of a chapter of my own life. I know that sounda sappy and cringe as fuck, but that’s just how I’m feeling right now.
