This is Eric playing the drum breakdown of 100,000 Years, the original version, followed by the way he played it on Alive III. I recorded this in Vegas last year.

It’s like watching some thing is 2D being transformed into 3D before your very eyes.

I don’t wanna go down the path of which Kiss drummer is the best or whatever, coz there’s no limit on how many fans can love any of them, singularly or more, but it certainly says a lot about what Eric did bring to the band.

It also is a moment in time where I thought “Thank god he came to this event” coz there was no one who was gonna be able to fill his (silver) shoes.

They were selling a bowling shirt that Eric said were made for Gene’s 60th, which is the bowling episode of Family Jewels.
