Q: The concept of this photoshoot is boys who’ve never been to a party/went to a party with a noona. Have you ever been to a party? SC: I’ve never been to a party. V: I think it will be different according to the party’s theme. What kind of party are you talking about?
Q: Today’s party theme is a party that has DJs and lightings. WW: If that’s so, i’ve never been to a party after my friend’s birthday party on 5th grade. MG: I think from all of the gatherings we’ve attended, the gathering that has the most guests and feels like a party is our company get-together. We ate meat.
Q: It’s your fanmeeting tomorrow. We heard you gathered 2000 fans? Congrats. SC: I felt this during the 1st mini album promotions, but we have more people who love us than i thought we would. There are people who recognize us when we went to buy something, and we heard that our song “Mansae” is played on the street. WW: It’s our first time gathering 2000 fans. Each of our members has a performance on each fansign, and there were a lot of people who couldn’t watch it. We’re planning on performing it again on the fanmeeting.
Q: Seventeen’s uniqueness is the units. When you split into units, did you reflect the members’ opinion? SC: We do the music that we want to do since we were trainees. WW: Not only the hip-hop team, the members of vocal and performance teams choose the team that they want. That’s why we feel more responsible. Since we personally chose it.
Q: What do you do to fulfill your responsibility? SC: However rap-making is the most important. We feel responsible for the lyrics on our album. We also performed on a hip-hop concert before debut.
Q: Although you’re on the same unit, each of you has a different preference on rap style, right? Who’s your favorite Korean rapper? V: Beenzino! I really like him. His music and style are cool. WW: Tablo. All of the lyrics he has written have a lot of meaning. I want to be good on writing lyrics just like him. MG: I’ve been listening to Paloalto’s song recently. His voice is cool. SC: For me, it’s always been Vasco. I think i got some influence from him for my performance on stage or lyrics. When i ask for advice from him, he never feels disturbed… He teaches me well.
Q: Who’s your roommate in the dorm? WW: We have rooms but we usually use the living room. We don’t specifically have a roommate, some members would sleep in the living room and some others would sleep in the room - it keeps changing. MG: We are a free team!
Q: Then, if you must choose one member, which member from the hip-hop unit would you want as a roommate? SC: Mingyu who cleans well. He’s always neat. He even likes to clean… MG: After i clean up, i feel refreshed. I want to use the room all for myself but if i had to choose, i would choose Vernon. V: Huh, why me? MG: Because you’re younger than me?
Q: Are you going to order him to clean up? Then, Wonwoo… Are you going to choose Mingyu or Vernon who’s younger than you? WW: I will choose Coups hyung who has similar hobbies with me! We both like games and comic books, we like the same movie genre too. Sometimes we both go watch a movie together. V: Then, I will choose Mingyu hyung who chose me. I’m loyal! WW: No one chose me…
