How I interpreted Valko Indorian's flavour text.
(Trying to get socialist neopussy by playing magic voice) I actually don't think *any* of the state's actions are based
just about everything i see coming up for lorwyn eclipsed has been great. the return of the setting, the different cultures and how they clash, the new mechanics, all fantastic, but i am LOVING the callbacks to cards from lorwyn, morningtide, and shadowmoor.
i would never have imagined such a cute callback to what feels like an obscure uncommon card
I fucking love 1000 Blank White Cards
We have a deck that takes inspiration from numerous TCGs and things we like, and we like to make archetypes when we're not playing.
So far there's:
- Exiado (revolved around card draw & revealing cards from hand) (the lore is that Exiado was an ancient God shattered across realities, and due to the power of The Blank Guild, xey're able to be brought back to their former power)
- Stickmen (revolved around editing & token creation) (the lore is that all stickmen are spawn of an ancient being known only as "Eyex", who made the Stickmen as a way to take over the world, and cement their role as "The Winner")
- Blanks (revolved around Blank Cards & Cycling) (the lore is that, originally, Blank Cards were created by The Blank Guild to try and summon Exiado, whom they worship. However, one member of the guild gave the power of Blanks to all, and soon after, the world was destroyed and created anew.)
We like complex lore for stupid things :3
This is also partly lore-related to our version of Magical Athlete, so lmk if y'all wanna hear about that
If I got one wish for Reality Fracture's story, it would be for Zimone to meet Jace in the middle of the big climactic confrontation, shrug, and ignore him to start doing Quandrix math sorcery equations on a chalkboard in the background for the rest of the fight.
Then turn around and show him all the friction points where his planar creation scheme went wrong and ask if he's considered that he might need tutoring or some friends to talk to
the two fundamental truths of historical and contemporary mankind:
we were just as smart then as we are now
we are just as stupid now as we were then
personal soundboard for when i'm scrolling various social media websites
me: i can't do anything... i don't know what my life is anymore...
the jacob wysocki tulpa manifesting inside my brain:
thinking about that one wordless calvin and hobbes sunday strip thats just calvins dad ditching his work to go play in the snow... its going to make me cry
ohhhh my god
ā#I LOVE that the comic keeps the lens on Calvinās dad to the degree of not even showing Calvinās excited face when his dad surprises him, #You can see the joy and excitement of the moment in his pose and reflected in his dadās expression, #itās a great little artistic decision, #I realized what gets me about it itās the hat covering his dadās head and hair so the dad just looks like Calvin. #you donāt HAVE to show Calvin! You already see him in the dad becoming a kid for a moment you only have to draw that onceā
"Mastermind mage Jace Beleren has pushed reality to its breaking point. An alternate Multiverse of his own creation threatens to overtake the current one, and just one team of heroes stands in the path of oblivion"
... so what I'm hearing is that we're dead, because three of these people cannot be in the same time zone without trying to murder each other in increasingly creative fashion.
it's adorable that the lilis are pretending to fight like they're not already in active collusion with each other.
the concept of liliana and vraska actually having a canon interaction is sending me to the fucking moon.
necro lili is gonna lose her god damned mind when she sees chain veil garruk- but also, shouldn't he be like 150% more demon? b/c the whole bit was that she foisted the demon transformation part off on him? which is why ob nixilis stays pressed because he ate the entire cost?
i had already clocked this based on the color shifts, but jace's alt reality apparently doesn't do green very well- there's none of it in his commander precon, and both vraska and garruk got shifted off it.
incidentally, um, jace, you took both your gf and your ex and colorshifted them into the "nice" colors that match you? umm...
mine eyes might deceive me, but it looks like every member of team cape boy suddenly has their own, flowy cape
best lili jokes from reddit: "liliana of the pale" "liliana, the last pope"
there are a lot of people on this website who are incredibly, flamboyantly wrong about things, but theyre also likeā¦ā¦clearly in gigantic amounts of pain, and arguing with them on the internet isnt going to change the situation of either their wrongness or their pain

1000 Blank White Cards
I wanted to try a new free game. Friends were over and D&D just doesnāt fit in to every social situation. Internet searches for party games resulted in weird sites that are ran by people taking their first dip into the internet. I was about to give up but found an entry called ā1,000 blank white cardsā. There are a lot of barely functioning websites from 1992 that mention this game.
You just create your own deck. Everyone gets 10 to 12 cards and are encouraged (although, I suppose not mandated) to create cards that included a title, picture, and effect. Generally, most cards have a point value although this is not required.
Generally each player gets to grab one card at the beginning of their turn and play one card. It is by mere social convention that this happens. We should think about other things that merely happen by social convention. Drawing or playing a card is not necessarily mandated unless specifically noted on a rule card in active play.
Play continues until the game is over. This occurs through mutual agreement, drawing a card that notes the game is over, or by running out of cards. Person with the highest points wins, unless the victory rules have changed.
There are enough immediate interrupts, hand swaps, and card steals that super powerful cards are reasonably mitigated. Players are generally nice enough to not put in super dickish cards like āGive John a million billion pointsā.
Itās a little scary starting; we are used to games that have strict regimented rules. In the absence of them we look to something to fill the void⦠and find nothing. Donāt worry, youāll have a good time.
WELCOME TO EQUESTRIA All players wearing ponytails get +50. Any player may draw a cutie mark on their bodies⦠somewhere⦠for +50.
I played 1000 Blank White Cards for the first time in forever yesterday. God I love this game. For anyone who doesnāt know, hereās the rules (rules vary depending on who you ask):
1. Get a bunch of blank cards. We prefer to use the large size of note card, cut in half (remember if you cut too many in half at once itās very hard to cut them straight).
2. Get a bunch of friends.
3. The deck is made with, usually, fifteen cards per person. The ātraditionalā way is to have five from a previous game, five you just made, and five blank. Sometimes we put more pre-made cards in rather than making five because people want to just get to the game. Whatever.
4. When making cards, the default thing is to have a point value between 1000 and -1000. It can specify the type of points (fear points, cheese points, etc) but that doesnāt actually matter usually. You can also have special rules, conditions, whatever. Most cards are played on a person, but if you want to make global effect cards knock yourself out. You should put the date and your initials on the card, trust me.
5. Every turn, you draw a card from the deck and then play a card (unless the rules have changed). If you draw a blank card, finish your turn and then use the blank to make a new card (hopefully before itās your turn again).
6. Once the deck is empty and everyone has played all their cards, the game is over. Whoever has the most points wins unless the win conditions have changed, although the REAL way you win is to make your friends laugh and to make cards they want to include in future games.
So there's this game called 1000 Blank White Cards. You effectively write the rules for the game as you go and I've been playing the game with my family a very long time.
Well we've got too many cards to keep now and my dad gave me some of my oldest ones. Some of them had really cool ideas, but were either intelligible or were missing points/ actions etc. So I decided to redraw a few.
Some of these cards were from when I was only 6 or 7 years old, so it's nice to see the improvement, even if they're just pen drawings with no sketch underneath
i would die for Saber Tooth Slug
