I've recently started blogging some more and I wanted to share my thoughts and seek some insight.

Feasts & festivals demonstrate the customs & culture of a society. For the November RPG Blog Carnival, I shared a bit of my research on real world festivals and mythos focused on the change of seasons to inspire those in our TTRPGs.

I looked briefly at the Greek goddess Demeter and the myth of the "Abduction of Persephone". I also looked towards the Gaelic holidays that celebrate the change of seasons, which I found quite interesting. I find the shared experience of the change in seasons to result in the festivals and folklore to also share certain aspects, which I enjoy.

I only scraped the surface on this topic, and I am curious if anyone here knows of more? I'll even take some fantasy festivals that celebrate something similar if they got interesting ideas!
