what if billy was a manifestation of steves desires to be wanted and adored like

hes clinging to this relationship with nancy because hes in love and he wants to be in a relationship so bad he just cant recognize she's been pulling away from him and has fallen out of love. and billy happens to show up right as their relationship finally implodes. its just that... well some wires got crossed and magic is tricky and billys obsession with steve is less romantic and more dickish. but no less horny.

the universe is like "well you wanted someone to be totally into you and clingy and never leave you alone" and steves like "this is not what i meant!!"

but it ends up working out anyway. billy never becomes any less annoying but steve eventually finds out he becomes less hostile when he's given lots of kisses so. feels like a fair trade

I swear I just can't get over the fact that Billy is canonically OBSESSED with Steve. I live for a character who’s obsessed with others rather than in love. Yeah, love is great, but OBSESSION—where ninety percent of his thoughts are about him, being able to spend hours listening to people talk about him, harassing him until he looks at him, resorting to violence if that means he can touch him, getting euphoric if Steve touches him. JUST INJECT IT INTO MY VEINS.
