Of course, at some point they get photographed and it turns into a giant meme (imagine something like smoking Ben Affleck, but bubbles).

It's great for their image though and a toy company offers to partner with them.

Will’s quirks (and how they’re all trauma based) (a headcanon)

- Doesn’t like being naked except in very controlled situations: too much of his autonomy was taken away from him by the NTDP/hockey in general. His body was scrutinized for years. So he’s taking back some of his power by regulating who is allowed to see him vulnerable like that.

- Always wants to be the one driving: needs to be in control. Needs to know he has an escape. Doesn’t like being trapped.

- Sleeps in the innermost bed in hotel rooms: needs someone between him and the door. Doesn’t want anyone to catch him while he’s vulnerable. Can only sleep if he feels protected. I would not like to delve further into this one, actually.

- Talks all the fucking time but says nothing: if you’re constantly talking about bullshit, people think you’ve shared with them way more than you have. It’s much easier to keep the real shit, the dark shit, hidden when everyone around you thinks you’re an open book.

- Nail biting/picking: so it’s partially an anxiety thing, but it’s more of a self-regulating thing. He does it all the time, not just when he’s anxious. It gets worse when he’s anxious, but it’s also when he’s bored, or restless, or has to focus. It’s just a stim, a way of self-soothing.

- Compartmentalizing: keeping different parts of his life separate from each other. Hesitant to mix people, to mix places. He’s a different person to everyone in his life, because he is who everyone needs him to be. He has a core personality, but the layers on top of it change depending on who he’s with. When you start mixing people, you have to figure out how to merge those personalities without everyone realizing how different you are in different contexts. Easier just to keep them separate.
