There was this Aizawa x oc/ reader story on AO3 at one point in time. The girl was Miro’s sister, her quirk delt with the senses. I can not find that for the life of me. It was so good. Not only have I seen one black fic writer write a range of black!reader, I’ve seen MULTIPLE black writers on here write a range of black!reader. It’s not just a matter of you not finding the right account, it’s a matter of you just ignoring the damn fics and not looking for them. DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE FUCKING SINNERS FICS BECAUSE HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT BLACK WRITERS HAVE DONE FOR BLACK!READER WITH SMOKE AND STACK?! I need someone to write a story where Alfred is on his death bead and explains to Dick or Jason, really it can kinda only be those two, that they now have to keep Bruce from killing him self. ( we all know Bruce Wayne is suicidal) Then they question him and he tells them the only reason he hasn’t don’t it yet is one because he wanted to see Gotham cleaned up a little and every time he was ready he acquired another kid by fate. And they actively do things from that point on to keep him from killing himself. Like making his still feel needed even if all of them are grown or growing up.

Volturi myth busters: language

This is a series of thoughts I’ve had about the fandoms portrayal of the Volturi from twilight through various topics. ❕there isn’t a problem with any of the things I speak about, just late night thoughts ❕

Generally whether it’s fan fiction or other fan canons about the Volturi particular the Volturi kings, they are depicted as ancient Italians who speak modern italian and yes while I do believe they would have picked up modern Italian as well as English, the Volturi are not Italian but rather Ancient Greeks.

Between 1200 and 1100 B.C they founded the coven putting us in Ancient Greece at the time before they moved to Volterra and this is without considering their individual ages.

Given these facts they would have spoke Ancient Greek more specifically the first dialect following the during the collapse of the Mycenaean civilization (I’m a history nerd but not a Greek expert so this was taken from google).

While I assumed they would know Latin due to Romans I was informed that “No, Greeks living around 1200 and 1100 B.C. (the late Mycenaean period and the beginning of the Greek Dark Ages) would not speak Latin.”

Academically speaking I would assume that the kings would take their time in studying or understanding Latin as a language to read scripts as an add on.

Having lived the time they had, the amount of times that dialects change I can only imagine would be confusing 😭

Hot take

In some ways Aro can be perceived as just as much of a “good person” as Carlisle is.

Think about it.

For instance in turning people. Carlisle has turned people who were dying and suffering to save them, and so has Aro.

But Carlisle didn’t put his own life at risk to save them. When Aro rescued Alec and Jane from being burned alive, he threw himself into the fire. There’s no way he wouldn’t have caught on fire himself, be it his clothes or his body, by doing that. Vampires are flammable af. Given that vampires have battle scars, I’d say it’s highly likely Aro has burn scars from doing that. He risked paying the ultimate price doing something he didn’t even know would work. The twins could’ve still died.

And don’t get me started on the benefit the Volturi have had on the world since taking power. Human health, safety, population growth… vampires as well in not having to constantly avoid war and displeasing the rulers of the land… I think I have a whole post on this buried deep on my blog. But yeah. Aro is a good man, despite what he portrays himself as and probably thinks himself to be, because even though his motivations are selfish, the outcome of his actions has been positive.

So, overall, there have been good outcomes to the evil he’s been doing.
