major departure from the last two in vibes and colors, partly because i had drawn those last two weeks ago and have been struggling with ideas since. but the vibe of this one is vincent shrouded in shadow the "instrument" so to speak, and cloud as the one pulling the trigger.

Day 4: Modification ⚰️♡☁️ @strifentineweek 2026

"Y'know, this malfunctions so much I'm starting to think you won't let me replace it just to have a regular excuse to come see me."

Cyborg Vincent and his favorite body mechanic. Vincent is a full-body cyborg, meaning he's pretty much entirely synthetic, and his body is a one of a kind non-consumer model, so maintenance is a bit touch and go sometimes. Cloud is a particularly tenacious and skillful engineer who specializes in repairing and upgrading nonstandard cyborg components—and in calling out silly behavior. (Just ask him out, Vincent!)

This was fun to make - the original idea behind it was to screenprint it, which is preferably done digitally and with as few colors as possible. Something about this cover - could use a MASSIVE piece of text(?) right? or something.. at the center atop of Vincent's Cloak and hair. But i simply have no idea(wink) - enjoy this interpretation of "I really wanted a nice and simple piece of Vincent's cape just hovering over the entirety of Cloud's body" - it sorta gives the impression of how intimidating Vincent is in sheer size, but also he'd do whatever he could possibly do to get Cloud in his arms. Big-vampire-protective-werewolf-grampa-boyfriend energies. ya know?

Variant two - OOhh so that's what that empty space should have. yeah - i wanted to make both remarks so this alt is hiding.

you may be familiar with disney twisted wonderland, the gacha game in which various disney villains are used as direct inspiration for handsome anime boys. well that game was so successful that disney is trying to do it again but this time they're just animeboyifying whatever

here's mickey, goofy, donald, and chip & dale. yeah they turned mickey & friends into anime boys. they're an idol unit or something. they're technically not anime boy versions of the source characters, they have different names. mickey's guy is "Neo Michel". not michael, michel, like he's french. chip & dale are "Ruska Moncrief" and "Ranka Monk", they have different last names, they're not brothers anymore so that they can be yaoibait instead, anyways this post isn't actually about these guys I'm just setting the stage for the actual humanizations I wanted to show you

Well it's obvious from the designs who mike and sully are. but you will also notice. the blonde one on the left. with glasses. monsters inc is kind of famously about just the two guys so they didn't really have a lot of other non-villain characters to take anime boys inspiration from, I guess, so, well,

Yeah it's her. they made an anime boy version of the mean receptionist slug. her name is roz btw, as all of boygachagame twitter has become extremely aware of in the past 3 days as we speculated prior to the release of the full image who tf the third guy was. the anime boy's name is "noah slugger". at this point no parody of the types of things gacha games will make gijinkas of will ever be able to live up to what disney is officially spending their own real money on designing
