I was really tired and missed a POI while doing map completion in Dragonfall. So I tried to hitch a ride on the Pact ship flying overhead. I missed the deck, but managed to grab onto the underside. As you can see, my Skyscale was holding on by her clawtips! We rode around the map like this until I reached my POI. A few other players cruised by on their Skyscales. I wish I could have waved hello, but I was holding on for dear life.

The Pact Member – A Secondary Character that Isn’t the Commander (suggested idea for Guild Wars 2)

A lot of us would love to play a character in the game that is not the commander. We have our primary toon and alts. Most of us don’t continuously repeat the main storyline on every single toon (I have 25 and counting). Most of my alts make it to Claw Island and that’s that. One of the big stumbling blocks in having other races introduced as characters it that the Player Character is rooted in the commander storyline. The Skritt, Tengu, Largos, Hylek, etc, are convinced by the commander to join the big fight, so they can’t go through the commander storyline, the argument goes. So my suggestions…give us a non-commander toon. Give us a character whose big moment is joining the commander. I see several ways that this could be done, but I’d recommend giving us a personal story that takes us to Level 20 in a new storyline that leads to the moment the toon joins the Pact. And then leave the rest of the toon’s story up to us. Most of us know how to level to 80 without a story and also have tomes to auto-level. Some ideas:

1. The player has to already have a max level toon (the commander) to unlock the Pact Member character.

2. The Pact Member is shut out of the commander storyline, but has its own short story.

3. The Pact Member can support the commander (someone else’s primary toon) in the storyline, but not own the story instance (making its role even more important storywise).

4. The Pact Member can do WvW and PvP.

I know that the armor sets might be an issue at first, but give us some starting options that give us unique looks for these toons. Maybe roll out Skritt first and see how it goes. Yes, the game might be overrun by Skirtt, but…hey, it will be fun.

I’ve been playing this game seven years. One of the things my guild and I have hoped for with every announcement is a new race to play. Something fresh and new.

ArenaNet, please consider giving us a secondary toon, a Pact Member, to play and enjoy. You already have Skrittsburgh for a perfect starting area!

Tyria Pride 2019 is on, everybody!

Citizens of Tyria! You are invited to join us in celebrating Tyria Pride 2019 this June 22nd and 23rd, starting at 16:00 CEST on EU and 4 PM EDT on NA on both days! We march primarily to show our support for gender and sexual minority players, some of which have found Guild Wars 2 to be one of a few safe places to simply be themselves and get away from the hardships they face in the outside world. In other words, we march to spread the message of positivity, acceptance and love! Allies and proponents of equality for all are especially welcome to attend, as are those who are members of LGBTQIA+ communities! In addition to having fun in-game, we also want to make a positive impact in the world by supporting a fundraiser! For the second year in a row, we are teaming up with Gamers Giving Back, who is leading the organisation on the NA side, and together we are raising funds for Rainbow Railroad, a charity focused on providing support to LGBTQ individuals seeking a safe haven from countries where their lives are at risk for simply being who they are.

So can she use his powers to come back? I would like to think so. I really dislike that this chapter ended with a crucified Aurene and zero hope. Instead of feeling excited over the new content, I’m depressed over it. This has never happened to me before in the game. It sucks that my escape from the world isn’t so much of an escape right now. *sigh*

In this darkest timeline, @guildwars2 had to make it even WORSE? The story was great up until that point. It would have softened the blow a little if you had given us even a smidgen of hope. So sick of dark and gritty being the rule of storytelling nowadays.
