“I’ve made a lot, a lot of mistakes in my life and nobody knows that more than you do, but the biggest mistake I’ve ever made was letting you go. What I should have done is realize that being with you made me the luckiest guy in the planet…”

Ordinary Me
Here’s a small poem I wrote the other day…enjoy
I remember as a little girl Wanting to be apart of your world With all the glitz and glamour As if that was all that mattered
As I have grown up I have seen That living in that world is cruel and mean I’d rather be who I turned out to be And that is just plain ordinary me

Loren Tate singing Eddie Duran’s song One Day At A Time in the Finale! enjoy

I love when Loren sings her version of Eddie's song!!
Hollywood Heights: "Something in the Air"
Are you a soap junkie like myself? Do you enjoy shows about ordinary people turning into rock stars? Do you love drama, lies, angst, love, betrayal and friendships? Well do I have a great show to help with that. It’s a new series that premiered June 18, 2012 on Nick-at-Nite and has now moved to Teennick to finish out the season. This show is called Hollywood Heights
Plot: Hollywood Heights focuses on a girl named Loren Tate (Brittany Underwood, One Life to Live). Loren is a shy teen whose musical ambition grows closer to reality when she wins a songwriting contest supported by a popular rock star, Eddie Duran (Cody Longo, Bring it On: Fight to the Finish, Fame). Loren’s single mother Nora (Jama Williamson) and her best friend Melissa are her support systems as her life starts to change. At the same time, Eddie’s strong bond with his father, Max (Carlos Ponce), which got strong after Eddie’s mother was killed in a car accident– is challenged by Eddie’s growing romance with a manipulative model and aspiring actress, Chloe Carter (Melissa Ordway). As Loren music career beings to grow with with Eddie as her guide, together they learn that the path to love and fame often has a price as they go through unsettling troubles along the way.
WARNING: If you haven't watched and plan to this next section provides some SPOILERS as to events that already took place. So now that I gave you a background into the series its time for me to jump to my two favorite characters. Loren & Eddie (LEDDIE <3): These two have been my favorite characters since I watched the premiere episode. One of my favorite episodes early on in the series was when Eddie listened to Loren's song and finally was able to put a name to the girl behind the tweets. After that you knew that their journey towards finally being together had begun. I have to say that the last few episodes have been my favorite. I absolutely loved when these two were alone at Eddie's dad's beach bungalow and had the chance to discuss their feelings towards each other. These characters and the actors that portray them have such amazing chemistry. Loren is definitely a better match for Eddie then Chloe ever was. I love how they seem to be able to open up to each other and don't keep secrets. I can't wait to see how this relationship continues to grow in the next few episodes.
Eddie: I just want you to stay that "natural, down-to-earth" Loren. The one I fell for.
Loren: I thought you needed some time off.
Eddie: I did, but I feel better now.
Loren: Do I get a little credit for that?
Eddie: You get a lot of credit for that. (Leans in and kisses her)
Eddie: Looking back the nights were long. I should’ve known I was wrong. In the dark I lost my way, until you came, I hope you’ll stay (Lyrics inspired by Loren)
If you aren’t watching, definitely check out the last 15 episodes of this season airing on TeenNick at 8pm EST. For those who want to catch-up from the beginning all episodes are available on either ITunes or Amazon.com, or you can check out some of the more recent episodes on Teennick.com. Give me some feedback for those who watch, I’d love to know your thoughts. my contact/email is provided in my blogs main page description box.
New posts soon...stay tuned!
I know it's been a while since I wrote a review or any posts really so I will be writing a new Todays Blast from the Past soon as well as a review of a new show that has been airing this summer. Stay tuned!
Meghan: This is how I know Felicity still likes you. You ready?
Ben Covington: Yeah. Wha... what is it?
Meghan: Sarah McLachlan.
Ben Covington: What?
Meghan: When Felicity showed up last year, head over heels for you, Sarah McLachlan was all she listened to. If "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy" wasn't in the CD player, it was only so "Solace" could get a little airplay. I started calling it 'Ben music'... not to her face but behind her back. But then it went away, and I thought Sarah was gone for good. I almost started celebrating. And then you showed up again. You offered Felicity this cross-country trip of a lifetime, which means I got to memorize every lyric from "Surfacing"... all 10 songs! This year started off McLachlan-heavy, until the big break-up, and then all of Felicity's hair went away, and so did Sarah. Until you guys broke into the pool. Now maybe it was a coincidence, but guess who started to make a comeback? It was gradual, but constant, and now if you want me to, I can sing any song from "Mirrorball" which really annoys the hell out of me! So if you're ever curious about whether Felicity has the hots for you, just check her boom box.
Ben Covington: That's the dumbest theory I've ever heard.
Sean Blumberg: Well, I buy it.
Meghan: Let me put it this way, Greg knows how to work it. If she spends too much time with him, Sarah's going back on the shelf.
Every song has a coda, a final movement, whether it fades out or crashes away. Every song ends, is that any reason not to enjoy the music

Today's Blast from the Past!
I'd like to dedicate this post to my cousin for recently bringing Buffy back into my life. In the most recent years we have seen supernatural beings such as Vampires and Werewolves grace our televisions as if it is some new and unheard of concept. However, before there was Twilight, The Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf, and True Blood, there was Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
We watched for years as Buffy and "The Scoobies" fought Apocalypses and survived death on numerous occasions. We watched which now seems to be a recurring theme, two male vampires in a love triangle with the main heroine (who also happens to be a human). We have seen girls turn into witches and guys becoming werewolves. We have watched as citizens of the town disappeared one by one. We have also watched the non-supernatural help in the fight against good and evil that graced our television. Moreover, Buffy the Vampire Slayer introduced a very strong female role for its viewers, showing that women can take charge and protect themselves from "evil" in this world, all while kicking a little ass.
Over its seven year run, we grew to love goofy Xander, brainiac and enchanted Willow, protector and guide Giles, “it’s all about me, me, me” Cordelia, the brooding Angel, “William the Bloody” known as Spike, and the “I’m the Slayer…Slay-er. Chosen One? She who hangs out a lot in cemeteries…? ‘In every genera—‘you know. I really don’t feel like doing the routine. Ask around. Look it up: ‘Slayer comma The.’”, Buffy.
Out off all the characters described above, I have to admit Spike is my favorite. He played evil extremely well and that British accent could also make him quite the charmer when he wanted to be. I believe he had the largest transformation throughout the years of the show. He started as one of Buffy’s prime enemies to becoming one of her friends, lovers, and right hand “man” ( I mean even with a soul he was still the living dead). He had some of the best lines of the series in my opinion and truly loved Buffy in the end even though she never truly loved anyone other than Angel.
As the show came to an end we were left with this final scene and once again all good things must come to an end:
Willow: “The First is scrunched, so… what do you think we should do, Buffy?”
Faith: “Yeah, you’re not the one and only Chosen anymore. Just gotta live like a person. How’s that feel?
Dawn: “Buffy? What are we gonna do now? (Buffy looks at them, looks back at the crater, and we are in full close-up as she considers the question, a small smile creeping onto her lips as she decides on her answer)
More Quotes from the Series:
Spike: You listen to me. I've been alive a bit longer than you, and dead a lot longer than that. I've seen things you couldn't imagine, and done things I prefer you didn't. Don't exactly have a reputation for being a thinker. I follow my blood... which doesn't exactly rush in the direction of my brain. So I make a lot of mistakes. A lot of wrong bloody calls. A hundred-plus years, and there's only one thing I've ever been sure of. You... Hey, look at me. I'm not asking you for anything. When I say I love you, it's not because I want you, or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are. What you do. How you try. I've seen your kindness, and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you, and I understand, with perfect clarity, exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the One, Buffy.
[Willow brings Buffy, who is in hospital, her homework]
Buffy: Homework.
Willow: It's my way of saying get well soon.
Buffy: You know, chocolate says that even better.
Willow: I did all your assignments. All you have to do is sign your name.
Buffy: Chocolate means nothing to me.
[Spike tells Willow about his breakup with Drusilla]
Spike: She wouldn't even kill me. She just left. She didn't even care enough to cut off my head or set me on fire. I mean, is that too much to ask? You know, some little sign that she cared? It was that truce with Buffy that did it. Dru said I'd gone soft. Wasn't demon enough for the likes of her. And I told her it didn't mean anything I was thinking of her the whole time, but she didn't care. So, we got to Brazil and she was... she was just different. I gave her everything. Beautiful jewels, beautiful dresses with beautiful girls in them, but nothing made her happy. And she would flirt. I caught her on a park bench making out with a Chaos Demon. Have you ever seen a Chaos Demon? They're all slime and antlers; they're disgusting. She only did it to hurt me. So I said, "I'm not putting up with this anymore." And she said, "Fine." And I said, "Yeah, I've got an unlife, you know." And then she said... she said we could still be friends. God, I'm so unhappy.
Willow: There, there.
Spike: I mean, "Friends." How could she be so cruel?
Angel: "Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping, waiting, and though unwanted, unbidden, it will stir. Open its jaws, and howl. It speaks to us, guides us. Passion rules us all, and we obey. What other choice do we have? It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we can live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion, we'd be truly dead."
Dawn: The hardest thing in this world, is to live in it.
The Big Bang Theory (TBBT) Review: A Siri-ous Love Affair
On last Thursday’s episode of The Big Bang Theory, "The Beta Test Initiation" we were entertained in a variety of ways. Let’s go through each of these ways below: Leonard & Penny: Leonard and Penny seemed to have picked up right from where we left off in the previous episode. They have decided to give dating another go around but this time treating it as if it were a science experiment. It seems in order to be with each other and make it work they have to make a “Beta Test Result” list of all the things that they think need to be fixed with the other person so they can have a normal relationship. As one can imagine this only causes more issues between the two. For instance, it was clearly obvious Penny was angry that Leonard had written such a long list of things he needed her to change about who she is. He in return had a similar reaction when Penny supplied him with her list of changes as well. As one of the changes to there relationship Leonard took Penny to a shooting range, where it ended with him shooting his foot. As this couple tries to reunite we will have to see how it plays out in future episodes. Can Leonard and Penny really make it work this time? Til the next time on Beauty and the Geek. Amy and Sheldon: What can I say about Amy and Sheldon or better known as Shamy? Well they certainly brought the laughs with there attempt to start an online web-series titled “Sheldon Cooper presents Fun with Flags” where every time Sheldon tried to tape the first episode he was either interrupted or messed up in someway. Two of my favorite Shamy scenes in this episode were when Amy drew a face on the white flag used to surrender ones self to fun and Sheldon asked what’s with the face. Amy replied that she thought maybe they could open up to the younger generation and Sheldon thought that was genius. The other was in the final scene when Amy was dressed as a giant pretzel. Seriously did not see that coming, it was definitely hilarious.
Raj and Siri:
As it is known Raj has issues talking to the ladies unless he is drunk. That is until he buys the new IPhone 4S where Siri becomes the first female Raj can actually have a "relationship" with. He asks Siri questions about "itself" as if they are truly going out and he responds to Siri as well. When Bernadette asked Howard who Raj's new girlfriend was she couldn't decide whether it was cute or creepy. (we vote for creepy!). One of the best Raj scenes was when he was deciding how to dress Siri for their dinner date with Howard. He turned to Coco Chanel for guidance and choose the "little black case." Another funny scene was when Raj was dreaming about Siri and in his dream Siri was human and he was unable to speak to her. He ended up waking up screaming "Nooooo" which was because he realized he could no longer be with Siri.
Other Notes:
My favorite scene in the entire episode was our Barry Kripke cameo. He had trouble with using Siri that definitely rang true. Since Barry has a bit of a speech impediment Siri couldn't understand when Kripke asked about restaurants in the area. She simply replied "sorry Bowy, I don't understand what you mean"
Over all this episode was very well written. It surely did its job as a comedy by bringing on the laughs. I'm looking forward to this weeks installment of The Big Bang Theory. If you aren't already I definitely recommend you give the show a chance.
Leonard: So, I've got a gunshot wound. That's pretty bad-ass. Penny: No, you've got a Reebok with a gunshot wound and an ouchie on your pinky toe.
Raj: Ican't believe I bought my soul mate at Glendale Galleria
Raj: I'd like for you to call me sexy. Siri: [chimes]From now on, I'll call you sexy. Okay? Raj: Okay!
Penny: You mean like a beta test? Leonard: Well, technically, this would be an alpha test. A beta test requires people that weren't involved in the development of the appli.... Penny: Seriously, do I not get credit for knowing beta test? Leonard: No, absolutely you should.
(Amy and Sheldon taping a segment of "Sheldon Cooper Presents Fun with Flags")
Amy: Hang on, Doctor C. What's vexillology?
Sheldon: Vexillology is the study of flags?!
Amy: Cool. I think I just learned something!
Sheldon: Did you have fun doing it?
Amy: I'll say!
