LIPSTICK IN SCHOOL (PRICELESS) According to a news report, a certain school in Garden City, MI was recently faced with a unique problem.

A number of 12 year old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the washroom.

That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick, they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints.

Every night the maintenance man would remove them and the next day, the girls would put them back. Finally the principal decided that something had to be done. He called all the girls to the washroom and met them there with the maintenance man.

He explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors every night. To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, he asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required.

He  took out a long handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it.

Since then there have been no lip prints on the mirror. The moral of this story……

There are teachers, and then there are educators ;)

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men. They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice. They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution. They go without so their family can have. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards. They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding. Their hearts break when a friend dies. They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left. They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart. Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors. They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you. The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning. They bring joy, hope and love. They have compassion and ideas. They give moral support to their family and friends. Women have vital things to say and everything to give. However, if there is one flaw in women, it is that they forget their worth.

my Life's 32nd chapter

yesterday, i celebrated what i called d 32nd chapter of my life. no party, nor cake or candle to blow, just a simple breakfast w/ parents, son and kids. call it "Just another day to remember." yet, realizing that one important reason why we should always celebrate, enjoy and be thankful to our every birthday is, NOT everyone is  lucky enough to get older every year.. Likewise, NOT everyone is lucky enough to wake up in the morning. So, instead of worrying about getting older, I started to recall what had been through in the 31 chapters of my life and what's next for the new chapter..

we we'll see...

for now, let me thank all the people who greeted and offered their wishes, and they are not so many.. hehe! i hid the date on my fb, i don't like being greeted because FB announced it (with our permission) but i want to know who can really remember it. although there were just a few, i'm still touched that some friends never forget. thanks to y'all!!

less than a week before the holyweek (apr.2 to 6), cancel ang trip ng PSACC going to cebu on april 3. urgh!!! ang labo!! that's the only choice we had for a cheaper fare! the rest, both airfares and other seafares are way too expensive kung ngaun kp bibili!!!!

Asking Strangers By Their Own Language

There are different ways to approach somebody and kindly say

"Good Day. May I ask something?

-in our native tongue.

Tagalog:           "Magandang araw. Pwede (po/ho) bang magtanong?"

Kapampangan:   "Mayap a aldo. Pwede ku mangutang?"

Bicol:               "Marhay na aldaw. Pweding Manghaput?"

Cebuano:          "Maayong adlaw. Pwede bang mangutana?"

-in an aliens tongue.

French:             "Bonjour, peux-je demander à quelque chose?"

Korean:             "annyeonghaseyo, nan mul-eobolyeogo..."
