March 17th has been set aside to honor God's worker , St. Patrick , who brought the good news of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ to Ireland. Of all the festivities that usually happen on this day, please remember that God sent His only Begotten Son for you to celebrate .

Some research about the Celtic Cross indicates that it was originally a pagan symbol regarding a false god ; but in this modern era , it has taken on a new meaning : a halo for God's Son , and a reminder that Jesus paid for our sins when He was crucified to death on the cross.

Set aside the gifts , the foods , the decorations ,

the distractions and the traditions , for a time ,

and pick up His Holy Word and enjoy finding out

about His Holy Son , and His Holy plans for you .

Jesus , which means " God Saves " , is known as THE

Light of the World. Let His Light be in your world ,

today.

May His Peace Be With You ,

as you seek Him , wholeheartedly.

Church in Scotland silences 200-year-old bell following single noise complaint

Local residents in a Scottish town have started a petition after the bell at their local church was silenced at night following a single noi

* * Two things :

#1.) If someone is going to move into an area , and there's

an aversion to noise at certain hours , it would be

prudent to pay attention to what is going on

around that new place of residence during those hours.

#2.) Also , don't expect an entire neighborhood to change

their ways in order to accommodate the one thing that

changed - one new resident .

Sometimes it's best to stand up for keeping things

the way they have been ; and quit treating older

things like they should get out of the way.

The " get-rid-of-the-old-ways " mentality can

do some long lasting harm . Let's be careful

with our choices. It's okay to treasure things

that have been long lasting , and a blessing. :)

Violence & Hate

As the violence in the Middle East has escalated ,

so has the inevitable unleashing of animosity

that is aimed against Jewish and Muslim

individuals , communities and nationalities .

This world cannot do well , in any sense of

the word , while there are entities that want to

demean and destroy groups that they have

learned to despise. It is past time for various

factions that thrive off of hate to be brought

under control , and eventually defeated , so

that the rest of the world can live in some measure

of rest from endless hostilities and destructiveness.

We need to pray and act according to the best of

standards . This will enable the humane treatment

of many , including infants , the elderly , the

disabled , the infirm , the desperate and the grieving.

On this date , August 18 , 1920 , women finally saw their

right to vote being guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution.

Along the way , many women suffered various kinds of

opposition to their efforts to have a vote about their

own country , even to the point of imprisonment and

physical abuse. Today , this basic Constitutional right

to have a say about what happens to our country still

needs to be diligently cared about.

American voters have significant issues facing them ,

and it is not gender exclusive , but let's focus on what

women are doing , or not doing , with their political clout

these days.

~ First , are women staying informed and involved with

the political process regarding national and local issues ,

as well as the ever evolving international topics ? Every

vote does count , so it does matter when women

choose to be well informed , and then vote accordingly.

It is vital for women to vote , with care , to ensure that our

nation's economic prosperity and national security

are put as top priorities in every election. Remember

history's lessons that if a nation is economically weak

and militarily insufficient , there is no ability to help

yourself or anyone else. America has been strong

economically and militarily for most of our existence ,

and that strength must be valued with all due

diligence. With these important points in mind ,

please vote carefully - every time !

~ Secondly , from what perspective are women voters

voting from ? Are women consistently voting to

promote life and Biblical standards ? God will bless

the nation that adheres to His ways , rather than

exclude Him from every place. Some women are

fighting for perversion to be boldly placed in front

of our children's faces at schools , libraries and

beyond. That is the pathway to ruin for any nation.

Vote instead for what is clean , right and true !

~ Thirdly , are women actively interested in assuring

that foreigners never vote in our elections ; and that

the interests of foreign peoples and entities are not

put first ? The USA is a sovereign nation , not an

extension of another country ; nor are we ever to be

regarded as a refuge for every person that tries to

flood across our borders. That ideology is increasingly

turning nations into chaotic refugee zones , rather

than places of law and order. That is very dangerous !

Let's use the 19th Amendment to the advantage of

God and country , every time votes are taken !

Oh Sweet Baby Pickles, The Houston Zoo

     Please enjoy the headline-linked story about

the Radiated Tortoise couple , named Mr. and Mrs. Pickles ,

who just had their very first offspring. Their three cherished

babies are named Dill, Gherkin, and Jalapeño .  :)

     This critically endangered species is originally

from Madagascar . Their low birth rate and the illegal

pet trade has taken a toll on these special tortoises 

but the Houston Zoo , and others , are making an

effort to repopulate the tortoises , and assist with wildlife

habitat .

     Please pray for God’s creatures and habitats to be

saved , cared for and blessed .

The Gospel of Matthew 5 : 14 - 16

Earthquake death toll passes 45,000; many still missing in flattened apartments

More than 45,000 people have been killed in the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria, and the toll is expected to soar with some 264,000 apartments in Turkey destroyed and many still missing in the country's worst modern disaster.

Our hearts and prayers are for those who have suffered much

heartache and generational harm due to the very devastating

earthquakes in both Turkey and Syria.  Incredibly , the quakes

were only a part of the problem. The incalculable infrastructure

failures , both during and after the severe quakes , have not only

multiplied the suffering of the survivors , but have caused much

concern and frustration that will not be easily overcome. 

Regrettably , the effects of war and the other Middle Eastern

conflicts that afflict these areas with turmoil , on an annual basis ,

have also caused significant impediments. 

With the above things in mind , we pray :

 . . . that your needs will be steadily met , with all

due swiftness and efficiency .

   May you be helped in ever increasing measure , especially.

as each region begins to hopefully establish staunchly built

structures and infrastructures .

   May all of the good will and peace that is necessary to provide

for your healing and stability be yours now , and for the decades

to come.  

  May Christian prayers and aid that are helping in this region now ,

continue to do so.

Seventy years after renowned Army Chaplain Capt. Emil Kapaun died as a prisoner in the Korean War, his remains have been identified by the Defense Department.
