girls like girls -- dulce & esmée
Dulce: Her blush rose when she noticed how amused Esmée was by her flustered state. It did, however, made her feel more confident now. She paused to think for a second. Confident with what? Dulce is straight and she'll always be. That's how she was taught as a young one - that she had been assigned to boys; only boys. Yet when she first laid eyes on the other female, something in her ticked. Like all that attraction on the opposite sex vanished. It had been unbelievably crazy since no one had this type of effect on the older one. Life changes though, and she didn't mind it at all. "So like, you wan't me to continue with this, Hermosa flor? She throated out in a rasper tone, "You better -- I'm a vicious one." A small giggle escaped her lips at her silly act. Placing the empty cup on the tray, she pushed it to the side of the table to let the server know they had finished. Her eyes caught a remaining apple slice hidden by a cup then reached for it before slitting it in half. "I don't think /anyone/ can top that nickname, TBH. It's pretty special to me.. considering it's my first one." The hand with the other slice reached out to the girl in signal for her to take it. "Really?" The features on her face lit up quickly. "I'm the first one you ever informed about this?" She questioned with a goofy smile.
Esmée: She'd never been so attracted to another girl as she was to Dulce. What wasn't breathtaking about her? Everything about her had the ability to make Esmée's heart skip a million beats all at once. Now that she knew that there could be a slight chance for her, there was no going back. Beautiful flower -- she felt the apples of her cheeks turn bright pink while nodding her head quickly. "Oh, sí, sí." Tucking hair behind her ear out of nervous habit, she watched her break the apple slice in half before reaching out and taking it. Their fingers brushed and she couldn't help but smile even with her stomach being filled with butterflies. "The /only/ one. Especially here -- even Scarlett doesn't know that I was cleared to return. I just --.. I haven't given it that much thought because I've been too scared to." Reaching over, she lightly placed her hand over the other girl's. "Thank you for that."

Dulce: Her bite on her lower lip dug in sharper every second, close enough to draw out blood. She ended her actions however - since blood was already flooding her cheek non stop and no more was needed. "S-So you knew everythin' I was saying, huh? You tricked me." The Latina's eyebrows curled while her eyes glared into the smaller one's purposely. Whenever she was the one being fooled, there had never been a time were she would let it 'slip.' She had been the person who / always / sought revenge. Harmless revenge, of course. Her voice dropped to a low rumble then growled, "I'll get you, keep two eyes open in bed, Esmée." After fooling a bit, she giggled then reached for her tea before she finished the now-cool liquid up. "I'm honored that your the one to give me such a name. That's your nickname for me, okay? No one else's." Dulce would be lying if she said she wasn't happy now. The smile on her face couldn't wipe off no matter how hard she tried -- but she liked that. She liked that she finally found someone who could keep her joyfulness remained. "Well, 'm not gonna force you of course. It's totes fine if your scared -- we all have our fears." Reaching out, she patted the other's hand gently. "But look at you now. Your leg looks.. fine. Outstanding actually; but my point is.. if you're gonna want to achieve your goal, you need to try again. Again and again and again, as much as you need to so you can bring it your best. I'd like to see you kick back like the strong woman I know you are."
Esmée: Watching Dulce frozen in her seat with the most adorable blush risen on her cheeks, she'd wondered if her happiness in that moment was able to be noticed by anyone in the room. "You looked so cute when you said them --...I was scared that if I told you that I understood --.. you would stop. I didn't want that." She said, lightly reaching over and brushing her fingertips over the hand that wasn't being used. "Is that so? --- I'll be sure to keep my eyes open." Laughter escaped from her lips as she polished off the first cup of tea. "Copyright it for me, okay? No one else is allowed. Only me. Anyone else will have to think harder for a better nickname than that one." Being so curious, she didn't expect to find a girl she was interested in so soon. This almost seemed too good to be true. " ---... Maybe one day. For you. And for myself, but because you're the only person who both knows and is pushing me to try again."

Dulce: Casually, she reached for a fruit with a sly look on her face when she succeeded in flirting with her other language. Achieving the strawberry, she opened her mouth then froze mid-way of the fruit entering. Esmée inched extremely close to her face which caused her to pause all her action to find out what was happening. Her eye twitched before it widened in addition of her cheeks shading the color of the strawberry in her hand. Did she just get fooled by the younger one? All that she said was understood by the other and at this very moment she wanted to pass out onto the floor. "-- O-Oh-- god.. I .. did you really just - ? .. fuck." Her teeth sank into her lower lip. She had never been so shockingly embarrassed in her life -- this was going to remain in Dulce's head forever; marked as another one of her craziest moments. "- Cie .. is nice. Very nice actually. I've never had a cute nickname like that before .. good job." She struggled to speak, still in panic of what had hit her. The strawberry slowly made it's way between her lips and she bit down carefully -- eyeing the girl in front of her to watch her amused expression. "You're gonna let a broken leg bring you down? C'mon.." A reassuring frown appeared on her features. "You seem like a strong girl who doesn't give up. Your broken leg possibly did knock you from the top, yeah. But that doesn't mean you can't make it back up there. Nothing is impossible -- remember? I think you can do it again if you try."
Esmée: If Dulce didn't look so adorable with the "deer caught in headlights" look, she would've began to feel bad. The color forming on her cheeks caused a beaming smile to radiate on her face while watching as Dulce stopped mid-way. "I couldn't keep up the act any longer --.. and I couldn't resist your compliments without saying anything in return." She felt as if she was going to bubble over in happiness. Like she could do dozens of cartwheels and backflips. "If you like Cie, then Cie it shall be. I'm glad I could do the honor of giving you such a cute nickname." More butterflies formed in their stomach, the fact that there was mutual flirtation making this all too real for her. "It was --... it was scary. My leg snapped in half, I saw bone and lots of blood and --... and I didn't think I was going to ever do any gymnastics ever again. My doctor cleared me years ago, but I guess I'm still really scared."

Dulce: A smile crept up on her face once again. Believe it or not, her jaw began to hurt for the amount of times she had smiled widely today. "Eres muy lindo, gracias." Dulce's eyebrows raised slightly while her finger drew circles around her cup mindlessly. As their eyes connected for a split second, she broke the connection to avoid eye contact before her cheeks would tint anymore than they already were. Instead, her own orbs found their way down to her mouth. As she said before; the girl had a perfectly drawn out face -- including those lips. There were so full and pink, big mistake for glancing at them because her blood rushed through her cheeks almost instantly. "Uh-- I -- no no.. it's okay.. you're totally fine." She stuttered out then brought the cup up to her face to avoid any more embarrassment to herself. Dulce took a sip and watched the tea in her cup decrease as she brought in small gulps. "Great. Then it's settled -- You're Es and I'm... to be continued." Her chuckle ended while she dramatically bowed down at the other's clapping. "You could say that. Practice makes perfect though, as they all say. I might actually become one if I don't stop reaching my goal." Placing her tea down to save her appetite for the other teas, she folded her hands while she her ears were filled with words. "That's real nice, Esmée. Go you -- and if you don't mind me askin', what's your number one goal? And I'm sure your talent will appear once you strike back after so long."
Esmée: Cute. She called her cute. That was supposed to mean something, right? And after numerous Spanish-laced compliments, she'd realized that she just couldn't keep her thinking that Esmée had no idea what she was talking about. As her cheeks began to turn pink, her smile turned into a smirk and she leaned over to whisper to her, "De nada. pero usted es mucho más lindo." There was something about her being so nervous. Her stuttering, the blushing of her cheeks, all of it made her look so adorable. Taking an apple slice and biting it in half, her eyes scanned her face before she began to speak again, "Cie -- like Cielo but --... in half, is that okay? For now?" Taking a sip of her tea, she felt nervous when Dulce asked her about her number one goal. The goal she had put off for years now. "I -- I wanted to go to the olympics. For gymnastics. When I was eighteen, three years ago, I broke my leg pretty bad and I never went back to gymnastics. When I broke it, I was competing in the qualifiers for the olympics. So --.. number one goal, but I've just put it off."
Not yet? Well, what’re you waiting for? I’ll be really pissed at you if you don’t ask her out the next time you see her. Otherwise, I’ll do it for you. Well, I make no promises. Oh, Esmee — you sound so cute when you talk about her, it’s so cute. I’m happy you found someone you’re interested in, baby, but now you have to do something about it.
You think I should ask her out? What if -- Oh god, I think I’d be way too nervous. I think I’m going to have to suck it up --.. y’know, just do it. Stopppppp it, I’m not cute. I didn’t expect to actually find a girl that I was so interested in. What if she doesn’t want to go out with me?
“Well that’s especially nice. Jet-lag’s something I can never get used to. When you knew the season would be here? What does that mean? Were you not planning on coming back for another season, Vause? It’s definitely making up for mine – don’t think my mom’s ever even been out of the country. Of course I’ve heard of it. Thanks to your tragic experience I’ll be sure not to make the same mistake as you did. Sure. Thailand? That must’ve been amazing. Is Scarlett a good friend? I’ve only spoken to her just a couple times. Laura – she’s everywhere at once, isn’t she? That’s the best thing you could do over the break. Glad you enjoyed it, though.”
“No, no -- I mean, I already happened to be in Hawaii when they announced that the next season would be here too. I could’ve left and went somewhere else like Scarlett did, but I decided to stay here instead. Mom hardly ever went on vacation --.. only time we ever traveled was when we went to competitions. Thailand was incredible, I wish I could go back sometime soon. Scarlett is an incredible friend, she’s my best friend, actually. Laura, she’s anywhere and everywhere all at the same time. --- Thank you. Did you enjoy your break?”

Dulce: The girl noticed the other beginning to work on her tea so she decided to do the same. Wrapping her fingers around the warm cup, she brought it up and blew off some steam before she placed it on her lips to take a quick sip. She smiled with quiet hum at the sweet sensation that filled her body once the liquid passed down her throat. "Mmm-- oh- my god, for'real?" Her expression lit up immediately after she had been informed of her favorite tea. "I'm so happy right now.. wow." Dulce truly was. Her and the girl who she really enjoyed being with, were sitting at a table for two at a tea shop. Every time she looked up from her drink -- she met Esmée's eyes that struck her each time. They were way too resistant too look away from; though she struggled since the smaller brown ones were constantly on her. "I guess I-- I had some pretty awful nicknames .. I'd rather not say." Taking another sip of her tea, she sighed then widened her eyes a bit. "Oh yeah, Cielo. Thats my last name ; maybe you could make somethin' out of that." She reached for a single blueberry then tossed it into the air to successfully catch it in her mouth. Giggling, she leaned back and rested against the chair while she listened. "That's correct, born and raised baby. I'm a bit of an artist - yeah. Wouldn't call myself a professional though. And no, my childhood wasn't so great. Whatever though - that's the past right?" Dulce grinned in fascination at the other's little back story. "That's pretty cool. Harvard is a big deal - damn. Also gymnastics ? I wish little me could do activities like that. You / need / to show me your skills sometime."
Esmée: "It's the little things, right? If free tea keeps you that happy, I'll make sure that it happens." While raising her cup to her mouth, she took a nice long sip of her tea when she had realized it was cooled to the temperature that she wanted it to be. Each time their eyes met, she felt her heart skip a beat and her stomach jump. " -- you? Oh --.. no, you don't have to talk about it. I wan't force you to." Placing her teacup back down on the table, she nodded her head as a small grin appeared on her face. "Cielo --.. I'm sure I can create a nickname from that." Watching while she tossed the blueberry into her mouth, laughter erupted from her lips and she began to give her a round of applause. "May not be a professional, but that doesn't mean that you're not an artist either. --...the past is the past, but that doesn't mean it is a part of you somehow." Nodding her head as she heard the praises of her going to Harvard, she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "Harvard was my second goal in life, so I was able to fulfill that one --...I've not done any gymnastics in a /very/ long time, but I suppose I can show you a couple tricks."

Dulce: Dulce watched the small tray of the hot liquid being placed on the table -- pin pointing that it had been steaming so she could avoid drinking it. So far things were going well and she didn't want to ruin it all by burning as well as embarrassing the hell out of herself. "'M sure they will all turn out delicious. I trust you." She reached for a strawberry that sat right by other fruits then brought it up to her mouth. She paused right before, her mouth still opened until she slightly gasped. "Wait -- uh, is green tea somewhere consisted in the line of samples? It's my favorite; also very hard to find nowadays which makes me sad." The fruit was placed in her mouth right before the stem, taking a bite before she placed it back down on the tray. Her smile plastered into a cheeky grin at the new word. Friend. They've talked so much already that it felt like they weren't even considered strangers ; which was odd due to the fact they had only met yesterday. "Right. -- and there's absolutely nothin' you can make using Dulce. It's the worst possible name." Her sight beamed over to the tea that poured into the cups then back up to Esmée. "Well.. I'm from Miami -- and I like photography ; as you already knew.. hmm, I also like to draw sometimes.. and eh - I don't have anything to speak about for child times." She shrugged and added, "What about the great Esmée herself? -- Estoy muy interesado en usted."
Esmée: While she took the cup of tea, she began to fix her tea up just how she liked it and began to stir the liquid until it eventually cooled. Reaching over, she grabbed an orange slice and began to pick away the little pieces of fruit and popping them into her mouth. "Green tea is definitely in the line-up. They have some of the best green tea here. You couldn't be able to find it anywhere else. Watching her, she was trying all that she could to not have this fixated stare. She'd thought she would look creepy, but she just couldn't take her eyes off of the girl. It was nice to have a new friend, and it was nice to have someone she could talk to better than anyone else. "Did you not have any nicknames when you were growing up? I'll see what I can do, you're not going to go without a nickname." Raising the cup to her lips, she carefully sipped her tea. "A Miami girl, how did I not guess that? -- And you draw? That's interesting, I'd love to see some of your work one day. Don't like to relive childhood?" When she asked about her, adding in her eloquent Spanish, she tried her hardest not to break out into a wide smile but mixed her look with confusion. "I'm from Texas -- Dallas, to be exact. I'm taking classes at Harvard, but mainly any online course I can take while I'm here. -- As for childhood, it was awfully boring. I used to be a gymnast, so my live revolved around gymnastics --"
Oh, someone in the house, you say? That sort of information, you should have kept to yourself. Now I won’t be able to control myself and interrogate her when we meet, with you gushing about this girl. Christ, you’ve only met days ago, yeah? And you’re already buzzing with joy about her.
Oh, gosh -- We haven’t even been on a date yet, you can’t run her off before I take her out. Give me a month or so, then you can interrogate her. Yes, but she was like -- she was intelligent and she could actually hold a conversation -- and she was so beautiful. I just have this little crush on her, okay?
You little shit, you scared me half to death — I thought something was up, turns out this was about a girl. Well, then, I suppose this is where we sit down, and you tell me all about your magical experience. What’s her name?
This is important, Scar. -- Her name is Dulce. How sick is that? She came into the house earlier this week.
Esmee, you’re scaring me — what’s going on? Spill it!
--...I met --.. a girl. Not just a girl, the girl.
Look at that profanity spill from your mouth — what is it, Vause? Everything alright?
No, it’s not alright -- I’m freaking the hell out, Scar. Freaking out --
