I swear this is a Bullfrog x Reader fic, it’s just that i became a little too detailed with the crossover idea i had. it's also the first time i do a fanfic to begin with
so my idea was, what if I mixed the universe of Cyberpunk Edgerunners (Night City, Cyber upgrades, all of that stuff) and stuff from Laserhawk (Eden, Hybrids, VR Facility, main characters, etc.)
just an excuse for me to mix 2 Cyberpunk shows I really like so I’m sorry if this turns out to be cringe and bad
so please bear with me that this is probably rough as hell

Sarah Fisher’s here but she doesn’t control the Gang. She’s part of a “League” from Eden Arasaka
Instead of Paga Min, it’s Vaas (i think he seems neat to me i dunno) and he’s also part of the “League”
there’s a Third Antagonist of the League, who’s Shinjiro from Red Steel 2 (Felt like adding an obscure Ubisoft character lmao)
I switched up Cody for Travis cause I thought it would be funny adding him in this universe. (+ It was published by Ubisoft when the first 2 games were on Wii so IT SORTA COUNTS)
Eden is Fused with Arasaka so it’s 2 Bad corps in 1 isn’t that LOVELY?
Crew lives for longer in this AU cause i wanted them to be happy before their inevitable demise (especially Jade and Pey’j :( )

You live in the Hellscape that is Night City, and after unfortunate events in your life such as a horrible lethal accident with your parent(s), bad living habits, and losing your job, you felt like it was all downhill from there. but things were looking up for you when you tuned yourself up with a Sandevistan as a gift from your deceased parent(s), and later on met the “Gang” that are simply called “Blood Dragon”.
The Members of the group consist of Captain Laserhawk himself (the Leader), Jade and Pey’j, Travis Touchdown, and of course, the one you’ve first encountered alone and made you wanna join the team… Bullfrog. you didn’t know what it was about him that caught your eye.
It was probably because of the one time you both met each other at a Train, after he saved you from a bunch of weirdos who were ganging up to assault you. You were feeling all kinds of emotions but couldn’t thank him enough. So you wanted to follow him to have a little chat, and ask him if you could join the group, even with all the possible Risks you might partake in. you simply had nowhere to go after the death of your parents, and you got fired from your Job for unfair reasoning. so the Lovely french frog took your hand and led you to where his friends are and the rest is history
You grew somewhat connected to the little frog, got to know the rest of the crew and learned a bit more about what they’re all about, Tons of missions/gigs where as successful as the last, there was celebrations to it, fun times at home when you invited some of them to your house, and of course some more fun interactions with Bullfrog too. This group isn’t just like any other gang, if anything the group slowly felt like a group of friends turning into a family. no matter the type of people they were.
Sadly, not all days are winners, and in this case… It was one of your worst. one of the gigs the crew was tasked to do was to pick up a “Super Scope” at Vaas’s Tower and each member of the group would play a role, and yours, alongside Travis was somehow sneaking into the Vault to grab the Scope, Jade and Pey’j were at the Bar from the bottom floor of the building, and Bullfrog at the Sewers. everything seemed to be doing fine with Laserhawk giving good coordinates, as everything is falling into place… except for you and Travis.
One of Vaas’s guards took notice from both of you and quickly tackled to knock both of you out and chain up to take you to Vaas. you couldn’t do anything with your Sandevistan, and you started to get somewhat worried of what might happen next, and you could see from the distance the man himself, Vaas. just sitting here enjoying the current view of both “Spies” in his hands as he approached closer with a gun.
Vaas: Well Well Well. look what the Spider’s web has caught for us this time. the good old No. 1 Assassin from Santa Destroy himself! Travis Touchdown~ came here to pick up our precious little Scope? i can't believe you’d think it would be that easy heh. especially with such an ugly Replica too? I've seen Bootlegs that looked better.
He also gave a look at you, with a evil grin after throwing out the Replica from his hands into the trash
Vaas: oh? and what’s this new little friend you got? doesn’t seem all that special huh?
Travis: They’re just a Kid. ya better not try touching him or else-
Vaas was chuckling at what Travis said, as he was moving around his gun like he’s teasing who he’s going to shoot next.
Vaas: Oh my guy. i LOVE when you try to act like a tough hero despite your, how do i say it, Otaku attitude? What's so special about this Kiddo anyways?
He looked behind your back and sees that you have a Sandevistan
Vaas: Oh~ is this what makes him special to you or their friends? this thing sticking up like a sore thumb? Haha. just cause you’re desperate to install something to make you feel stronger or faster, won’t guarantee you an easy living ya know sweetie?
You tried to make little to no eye contact to him as you replied:
Y/N: What makes you think that? I’ve got a great crew that’s got my back like Travis! plus i suppose i’ve gotten pretty used to this. I could use it all day to make you look like an idiot!
Vaas wasn’t impressed by your “Cool” attitude.
Vaas: Oh really? I would like to ask you something. what will you have once everything is taken away from you huh? your friends, your Freedom, your love… your Humanity. what will happen when all of that is taken by force? Will you abandon all hope?
He then points the gun at you on the head as your heart starts to beat fast
Vaas: Take this lesson, compadre. Nobodies like you, doesn't survive to tell their stories in Night-Mega City. We control it all over the place, and there’s nothing that can stop us, even when you think you’re at the top of the world, at the top of Arasaka or Eden’s Tower. People like me or your Otaku friend here may have chances or be known… but you’re just Scrap, amigo.
Vaas was basically degrading you in a emotional level, and before he could go on, Travis in a bit of Rage spit at Vaas saying
Travis: Hey Asshole! Stop fucking around with the Kid! He’s probably just as special as all of us around here. don’t go around being a Jerk to him. If anything you’re nothing but a little corporate bitch selling your soul to these suited bastards who do nothing but make everyone’s lives a living hell! why don’t you just fuck off, look yourself in the mirror and then tell yourself how much a fucking Sell-out you are if you think you’re THAT superior to us when you’re NOTHING MORE THAN A FUCKHE-
Before Travis could finish such a sentence, Vaas quickly aimed at Travis’s Chin and fired the shot. His head exploded in pieces, and all you could do was watch… as Blood splattered over your face. you looked horrified by what happened, you panicked, the fear of Death never felt so close to you than ever before. the man who shot Travis was a Devil in disguise that wouldn’t stop a killing spree if he had the chance.
Vaas: Woops. it looks like i’ve exaggerated on my part~ Sorry you had to experience a first degree murder like this. i know deep inside you wished you could die sooner, amigo~
You felt paralyzed. he could kill you right here and right now, your life of adventures and a bright future would slowly be turned into ashes… but instead Vaas was slowly backing out to simply disappear from the shadows to take a leave but not without saying-
Vaas: Well. I would have LOVED to do this right now, but like I said, you’re nothing but trash. So instead of getting my hands dirty with your blood, I'll just leave you here with my comrades to do the job for me. I should take my leave now, of course, as I have big plans with my closest partners at Arasaka/Eden. I’ll see you in Hell, Junk. Take him out
He closed his door of the elevator downstairs, as the Guards would be readying their guns to shoot at you. you were helpless, trying your hardest to break free with no success and you could see your life flashing before your eyes, tearing up in absolute fear with no way of escaping as you shouted for help as loud as you could. it all felt hopeless… but suddenly a Door was slammed on your side! it was Pey’j, Jade and Bullfrog! they came just in time to beat up the guards and rescue you as you all made your escape from the building.
You reach the rooftop with the others, although you were still having your heart racing like hell after what you witnessed before as Pey’j calls for a Helicopter which should be coming at any minute
Bullfrog: *phew* That was close, but at least we got you safe and sound now, Mon ami!
Jade: Thank goodness. What happened to Travis??
Y/N: H-he's gone.. I.. I couldn't do anything. He was just gone… right in front of me
You started Panicking again, could hardly breathe
Pey’j: Hey, listen. It's not your fault. let’s get out of here and-
A Smoke bomb is suddenly dropped, and someone dropped it at the Floor to commence an attack. It was one of Vaas’s guards who had Razor sharp blades under his arms.
Y/N: Watch out!! Someone's here!!
the enemy was very fast as Pey’j goes in for the Hit and try to punch it, but the enemy dodged it and punches Pey’j hard which makes him unconscious, then Jade tries to knock out the enemy with a sleeping darts but he kicks it to the air and kicks into her as well. She backs down to check on Pey’j leaving only you and Bullfrog to the assassin.
Assassin: I’m gonna have your Heads as a trophy, Lads! Hahahaha
Bullfrog: Go ahead and try it, Coward. Je ne ferais pas ça si j'étais toi
Y/N: Wait Bullfrog let me help you!
Bullfrog: that won’t be Necessary. Just stay here and take a breather while I handle him, J'ai compris?
Assassin: I wonder what Sapos tastes like? seems like i'll find out, when I cut you into Picadinhos!
Thus both of them clashed with each other. Bullfrog with his sharp blades attached to his wrists under his sleeves, and the Unknown Assassin with his Cyber-blade under the skin of his arm. It was a harsh battle with several clashes, scratches and wounds would form on both sides.
Assassin: Hehe you’re pretty good for a bite sized Assassin like you, Nanico
Bullfrog: Could say the same to you, but you fight with no Honor code.
Assassin: LIKE I GIVE A SHIT, MERDINHA!
The Assassin then parries Bullfrog’s blade and kicks him right in the gut, as the sheer force of the kick throws Bullfrog into a Wall, incapacitated for a bit. he could have killed all of them now, but instead he just went to you… slowly getting closer with a menacing look as you started panicking again.. and you get a call from Laserhawk
Laserhawk (on Call): Quickly, Y/N! Use your Gun and fire at him
Y/N: What!? B-But i never…
Laserhawk: No time to Waste!
Your heart was beating faster, and you couldn’t even use your Sandevistan ability considering you’ve used today more than 7 times, another one would probably hurt you more than help you, and your hands were shaking while holding the gun you had. You hated that feeling, of picking up a weapon and shooting at someone, even if it was an enemy since you’ve never killed anyone in your life, even in self defense. meanwhile the only thought you had in your head was-
Y/N: I can’t do this i can’t do this i can’t do this i can’t do this i can’t do this i can’t do this i can’t do this i can’t do this i can’t do this i can’t do this i can’t do this i can’t i can’t i can’t i can’t i can’t i can’t i can’t
Laserhawk: Pull the Trigger, Y/N!
Too late. your mind was already overwhelmed by either Running away, triggering the gun, or letting him kill you. Tonight was just… all too much for you to bear, tearing up in fear as the Assassin lifts you up with the blade pointed at your neck, ready to be cut down with your neck
It all felt like the end was near for you… until suddenly the Assassin shouts in growling pain as he sees his chest being stabbed right through the heart, as he drops you on the floor and you see that it was Bullfrog that saved your life yet again. as he gasped a bit from that impact at the wall he had earlier. he then looks at you and gives you a hand to get you up
Bullfrog: Are you ok, Mon ami??
You were still pretty shaken by what happened, as you were tearing up again… but Bullfrog grabbed your hand to make sure you were ok now.
Bullfrog: Don’t worry. we’re here now ok?
You started to calm down a bit. every time he was with you and calmed you down, it feels like at least part of those problems you’ve had in mind… even if you probably made Laserhawk mad for your Cowardice. thankfully the Helicopter finally came to them, as You, Bullfrog, Pey’j and Jade make haste and go back to their base
Finally, all of you were… except for Travis. you couldn’t stop thinking about him. He was gone too soon. He was in this group for longer than you, and yet he stood up for you. that guilt inside you was only growing slowly. the others still made sure to check up on you after sitting down at the base.
Pey’j: You ok there, Y/N?
Y/N: I… I Left him to Die. I couldn't do anything… and I almost got everyone else killed…
Jade: It’s not your Fault, Y/N. Vaas was an insane man and you two were restrained. only a Miracle could’ve saved anyone in such a position
Y/N: I saw his Head exploding in front of me, when he got the shot… i… I just can’t..
You started Sobbing again. After that you were called on the Base to talk to Laserhawk about the current situation that’s happened.
Laserhawk: Seems like things have been a complete bust by the end, although I'm at least glad you’re all safe, despite the loss of Travis… but then there’s you, Y/N. Why didn’t you pull the trigger at the Assassin like I told you? You could have been killed!
Y/N: Look… I’m sorry i fucked up back there. But I was scared! I saw Travis dying in front of me and the sheer Idea of me holding a gun at someone is the worst thing I could possibly imagine doing...
Laserhawk: So you will just let someone kill you without any chances? You were being irresponsible about your own safety to just allow him to attack the others while you do nothing? you HAVE to do something other than Fleeing from Battle. There will be a moment where Running will not be an option. Keep that in mind. Now go home and take some rest
You felt defeated after that conversation. He meant well that you needed to defend yourself at some point when nobody is there to help you, but you couldn’t handle the pressure since you rarely been in situations like this, where you'd have to kill someone to survive. you walked with a pale expression of self disappointment back into your Apartment, with a large view of Night city, which would have been lovely in your mind… if it didn’t remind you of the tragedies that plagued it… aaaand it’s already Raining too. Now that sets out the mood.
You tried to get some sleep early on. sure tomorrow was gonna be your day off, but you just wanted to calm down and forget about what you caused that cost someone’s life. but you never were able to sleep... from the loud raining noises, thunderbolt sounds from afar, the constant thoughts of guilt, self-doubting… even when you finally got to go to sleep, your dreams were nothing but the same horrible events that happened to you not too long ago, and the same phrases talked to you on repeat which got louder and distorted.
So you woke up, and started crying again. it was still nighttime, the rain and thunderbolts continued to play out, and you were just there… alone in a moment of weakness without your new friends being there to make you feel better. they had other things to do right? you didn’t want to be a bother.
But while you were sobbing like a fountain, someone was knocking at your door. you look up the door’s camera to see who it was and much to your surprise, it was Bullfrog!
Bullfrog: *coughs* Hello there, Y/N. Mind if I pay a visit for you? S'il te plaît?
You sighed. for as much as you’ve been in a bit of a bad mood after today, you couldn’t help but have someone to visit you and at least make yourself feel less alone. and hey it was Bullfrog visiting you, for a few weeks or months you’ve been very close to him in a lot of moments and he’d always make sure you’d smile while he’s around. He was charming, charismatic, had a soothing voice and you’ve sort of developed a crush for him. so after you took him in, you both sat down at the couch from the apartment.
Bullfrog: Having trouble Sleeping?
Y/N: Honestly… yeah. i feel like i just fucked up everything right now… the mission was a bust, i got you guys almost killed and myself killed if it wasn’t for you there to save me… and Travis got killed standing up for me while Vaas was telling me that I’m junk, and that’d eventually lose everything… including my H-humanity… and i already lost my Parent(s). I know i… shouldn’t be listening to scums like him but, what if he’s right? I would just die alone without anyone to be there for me. or being remembered for what I did or how I died… sometimes, I wished we we’re all away from this stupid city. Free from all of this Bullshit…
You started to tear up a bit again, as the intrusive thoughts of those who were around you started to creep in once again, until Bullfrog put his hand into your shoulder to ease you down on it.
Bullfrog: Hey hey. It's okay now. I'm right here, Mon ami. You’re not alone as long as I am here with you.
Y/N: That’s what I'm scared of the most… lately you’ve been the best thing to happen in my life and sometimes I just can't put into words how I feel about you… I’m afraid of losing you and-
Bullfrog: Don’t say that, Y/N. It hurts to see you down like this.
He slowly reached into your hands and grabbed both of them and faced you closer.
Bullfrog: Listen, I know you’re terrified from all of what happened, and I know how it feels to lose someone you’ve witnessed their death right in front of you like Travis… but you got to be strong. you’ve gone this far with us, you’ve been a merveilleux inclusion to the team, and Une partie de ma vie. I know you're scared of losing anyone and me especially, but this day won't come as long as we keep fighting for what we believe. And as long as we're together until death do us apart.
You stop sobbing for a bit, and faces him bag with a slightly less downer expression
Y/N: You mean it? No matter how dangerous the situation would be… would you still be there for me?
He smiles at you, caresses your hair and gets closer to your face
Bullfrog: Je jure par mon Serment, I’ll do whatever it takes to keep you safe and happy.
Y/N: I’m not even sure if… I'd be able to do the same thing.
Bullfrog: I believe that you can. maybe you don’t see it now, but you’ll find that strength eventually, Mon Ami. Non… or should i say, Mon amour~
You started blushing and got a little red from what he just said. Did he really say that or are you just imagining things?
Y/N: W-wha? did you just… called me you-
And without any hesitation, Bullfrog gets closer to your face and gives you a very passionate kiss on the lips. you could feel the sparks, as you didn’t want to let it go. you hugged him while he was still kissing you for a bit longer
Bullfrog: Yes I did. I already knew for a while you’ve had a thing for me, and I've been having those feelings myself too.
You smiled and teared up a bit from what he said. The atmosphere around you felt so comforting and loving. the fact that the person you’ve been with for a few months by now, felt the same feelings as you did, made your heart grow large in size. It was such a special moment for you right now. This day may have been a horrible experience, but this very moment tells you that you’ll be stronger for Yourself, for the others… and for him.
Y/N: Thank you… for Everything, Bullfrog
Bullfrog: No need to thank me. Je t'aime, chérie
