i hate to be the bearer of bad news but truth is nobody is coming to save you and nobody cares about your sob story. we all have endured hardships once in our lifetime. this generation isn’t too fond of a sob story but more so intrigued with a comeback. so get up. God will meet you wherever you’re at. but you still have to meet him half way. i admire my perseverance + resilience. no matter what life has thrown at me — i took it on the chin. kept my head up, and prevailed my way through. i cannot be stopped because i’m destined and nobody can strip me of that.

August will be filled with positivity.
August will be filled with progress.
August will be filled with kindness.
August will be filled with opportunity.
August will be filled with love.

Getting By Without Friends
1. See it as something that is temporary. Even though it hurts now, it doesn’t mean it’s permanent. You’ll find other people who will treat you well – so be gentle on yourself and recognise it will pass.
2. Learn to enjoy your own company. See it as a time to reflect on your life, and really think through what you want for yourself. Also, find different interests you can do on your own – and maybe try something different you’ve never tried before.
3. Spend time looking after an animal. Pets are accepting, reliable and loyal. They’ll never hurt your feelings – and are good company.
4. Treat other people you meet really well (talk to people at the checkout, or smile at those you meet). That will likely result in a warm, friendly response – and will remind you there are others who appreciate you.
5. Hang out with those who like the same things as you. If you’ve taken up a hobby or you like watching sport, speak to people you meet at these events. Even though you don’t know them, they are still good company.
6. Don’t let this bad experience hold you back. Keep reaching out to others, have the courage to take risks and eventually you’ll start to make some much better friends.

How To Make Yourself Do What You Don’t Want to Do
1. Rather than listening to the voice in your head that is screaming “I hate this; I don’t want to do this” think about why it is a GOOD thing to do.
2. Instead of trying to pretend that you don’t feel this way, accept that you are feeling very blah and negative.
3. Don’t think about results and how well you think you’ll do, as this could raise your feelings of anxiety and fear, just think about “right now” and the first thing you can do.
4. Accept that life is tough, and is full of things that suck – but recognise that doing hard stuff is better in the end. You’ll likely have more choices and freedom, if you do.
5. Just do a little bit for now – then give yourself a proper break – then go back and do some more – and soon you’ll find you’re in the flow.
6. Don’t allow your mind to wander and think of other things. Stay focused for that short time – and then stop, and have fun.
