My attempt of making an AU if not any. My younger self would be so proud.

After almost 7 years I finally am gonna dig into nostalgia and make the AU I wasn't able to.

I hope my younger self will be proud.

I named it WhichTale to be a play on words of which undertale AU it is because if you look down my history I tried making one in the first place. Cringe but it was very story-driven, just how I liked it.

I didn't go beyond what I had already made so I didn't post much.

Let's just say this is a whole ass reboot. A big one. Idk if I'll be able to draw for this AU as much but it will be more story-heavy.

I'm a little shy with posting my own stuff in a community as old as this, but since nostalgia has fallen into my hands I might as well revive this mess of an account.

(Ironically it was thanks to Undertale Yellow that it went back to my algorithm. Got me to realize I'm a better artist than I was and a not-so-bad writer, so why the heck not.)

Warning! The way lore and story plots will be a bit non-linear. If I ever make enough ill try to link it all up but for now it's gonna be a cluster fuck of a find.

I realized that I was unsure how their height differentiate from each other. I know they're gonna be that fanon height tall. It was on purpose for plot reasons. But just wanna clarify. Maybe add some characterizations to them.

Also tidbit realize that I have a really inconvenient way to shade them so am up in the air on how ill shade them. Usually I just color pick the shadings cause they are also extra story telling element, but its real convenient to just multiply mode them.

The amount of issues I have with my tablet pens plus other projects that stops me from touching this project baffles me.

On the bright side, I've been researching which AU to "visit". However they will be sourced from the Undertale AU wiki since the materials I'll need will be compiled there.

If there is another, more updated list, do share. I want to find unpopular ones.

I'm planning on making a series of scenes of the duo interacting with different Sanses.

They're either gonna be dangerous shenanigans or simple sightseeing. Both are a tough cookies in their own right. They'll be fine.

A little reference sheet for Frisk.

Funny enough I tried making one but kept repeating it cause I didn't like how either their design, the art style, or they don't look like a kid to me. Yet sometimes I can't make their height and youthful features consistent.

"Uh... who are you looking at?"

"Da awesomely, radical folks of Tumblr, of course!"

"What's Tumblr? Where people?" Sasha looked at the skeleton incredulously.

They always thought they were trained to perfection. To be ready for any scenario.

Yet looking at this multicolored skeleton with more conspicuous character details than them. They clearly have yet to see everything. Sasha thought they even look a bit nervous at first, but when asked they're as cool as a cucumber. So they say.

"Anyhoo! Clearly, ya new to da AU Multiverse. So broski, lay it on me. First impressions?" Fresh was all up in their face when he asked. Completely ignoring Blaste, who audibly growled getting louder for every centimeter Fresh crosses.

"Its... Big?"

"Dats wut she said!" Fresh cackled as the joke left his teeth. Sasha copied that laughter with a milder weaker chuckle, infected by the atmosphere but clearly confused.

"I feel like the universe changed."

"Don't it always?" Fresh shrugged like it was obvious thing. And it probably should be. Sasha has not a sliver on why.

Staring at their confused expression Fresh gasped with a snap of their finger.

"Idea! How's 'bout a super duper, ultra radical, funtastic--by yours truly--multiversal tour!? As the classically exceptionally cultured skeleton I am. I'm totes knowledgeable of the you-know-who's and you-know-what's around these parts!"

"The who and the what?"

"Exactly!" Before Sasha could get anymore out, their arm was seized by Fresh as he hoped on their hover board with an awe'd grin.

"Keep all ya limbs on da hoverboard cuz we goin' on a road trip! Through da Multiverse!!"

"Who are you even talking to?--"

FRESH-POOF!!!

Anyone have a clue on the specific slang Fresh uses. I'm too 'old' to understand Gen Alpha Slang. I'm too internet inept to understand the previous generation slang. I don't know if the slang I'm useing is even the right one. Every time I tried searching about Fresh it always leads back to Dippy Fresh, who only has a few lines and still confuses me.

I legit had to watch Underverse by Jakei95 as reference to understand more. I don't know if I even did it right anymore.

Fresh felt the cold sweat that build under his bright red cap as he stared into the skeleton's contemplating gaze.

He noted that their eyes are much larger than the average Sans. Ressembling those of a Baby Blue character. They were tall too. Not as tall as him but taller than the regular Sans population.

Looks can be deceiving but he is not deceived. Fresh knows just the kind of being they are.

A HUNTER.

His phalanges, hidden from their scrutinizing view, twitch at every movement the skeleton makes. Whether it was to look back at the blaster next to them or look down at themselves in thought.

Regardless if they mean to or not, he can feel his survival instincts spike in their presence.

This was his predator.

He can sense it in his very being. Ironically enough, it seems that this one has yet to realize it. A thought sprouted in his mind and an experiment was set into motion.

After all, there was a saying around these realities.

Friendship Conquers All.

And a Sans always keeps their promises.

I was buried to my neck with finals projects and family reunions right after.

I am still redesigning the cast for my AU but then I realized I kept changing styles and the height is often off so I've been spending some time making character sheets and even that is taking time too.

Happy Anniversary!

I have always missed the anniversary for so long despite charting it in my calendar since high-school. I'm glad I got to do something for it this year.

I won't be able to draw anything grand like a full on scene like I've seen, but this is my tribute although a bit personalized.
