So here's some fun psychology! Adults are hardwired to find babies "cute" (because it encourages us to take care of them). The fun part is, this "cute" reaction is not strictly limited to actual human infants: it also extends to other things that have baby-like proportions, such as big round heads, big eyes, tiny noses/mouths, etc...something like, for example, cats.

Now, think about the Na'vi, who have very catlike features, with their nose and ears and tail and even stripes. In other words, a cat (especially a tabby probably) looks even more like a baby Na'vi than a baby human. Therefore I can only imagine that the cute response would be DOUBLED
