Under the stars; ♡
[🌠] — 10:59PM
It was a cool summer night in Twinleaf Town and from the rooftop of her childhood home, Dawn sat, hugging her knees, looking up at the sky. It was a clear night and the bluenette could see the stars clearly — it was nights like these that Dawn felt truly at peace. She could sit and stargaze for hours, trying to name all the different constellations she could see.
By this time of night, most people in the small town were sleeping — a side effect of living in a small town — but she wasn't tired. The stars were always able to keep her awake. The town was silent and it was because of that silence Dawn was able to hear strange footsteps. They were definitely human footsteps and they seemed to be getting closer and closer to her home. From what the bluenette knew about the townspeople, no one took nightly strolls... often. In fact, Dawn was even considered strange because of her love for stargazing and staying up late because of it.
As the footsteps grew closer, the bluenette started to become anxious. She didn't know of anyone that would even consider taking a night stroll. Her mind started preparing for the worst. She thought about all the different scenarios that could happen if she decided to confront the person or not. She needed to make a decision — and soon.
Deciding to confront the stranger, Dawn quickly stood up, almost falling off the roof.
“Who’s there?” She called out.
