There is no amount of money, oil, or gold that is worth more than having bees, trees, and clean water.

My Journey to Escape the War in Gaza
My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.
The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.
Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.
I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.
Escape from Gaza is my only hope, but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.
I’m reaching out to you now, in the hopes that someone, anyone, can help. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance—just a chance—to live. A chance to escape this never-ending cycle of fear, destruction, and loss. A chance to rebuild my life somewhere safe, where I can begin again, where I can find hope once more.
My name is Abdelmajed, and I am a survivor of the war in Gaza. Everything I once knew has been taken away—my home, my safety, and the people
Any amount you can give will help me get closer to safety. Even the smallest donation will make a difference—it could be the lifeline I need to survive. If you are unable to donate, please share my story. The more people who hear it, the better the chance that I can find the support I desperately need.
Your kindness and support mean the world to me. You’re not just helping me escape a war; you’re giving me a chance to live, to rebuild, to breathe again.
Thank you for listening. Thank you for caring.

🌟 A Cry for Help: My Family’s Struggle to Survive in Gaza 🌟
Hello, my name is Areej Kassab. I’m a 27-year-old English teacher and writer from Gaza, and I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for support. My family and I are enduring unimaginable hardships as relentless bombings devastate our home and our dreams.
We are a family of 15—10 adults and 5 children. Every day is a battle for survival. Food is scarce, humanitarian aid is not reaching us, and my little nieces and nephews go to bed hungry. Among them is my sister, who is deaf, and another sister who has a newborn baby. They, too, are suffering in this crisis, and I’m doing everything I can to protect and provide for them.
💔 A Life in Ruins The war has robbed us of everything: safety, peace, and even the hope of a future here. My family’s needs are basic yet critical—food, clean water, diapers for the babies, gas for cooking, and other essentials to make it through each day.
With rising prices and limited access to necessities, we are struggling to provide even the most basic items. My sister’s home has been destroyed, and we are working together to ensure everyone has shelter, food, and warmth.
✨ My Plea for Your Support ✨ I’m a writer, and I’ve been documenting the harsh realities faced by my community under siege. But words can only do so much. We need action, and we need help. Your kindness can save us.
🙏 How You Can Help
Donate: Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to securing the essentials we desperately need.
Share Our Story: If you can’t donate, please share this post to help us reach others who can.
Your support will help provide food for the children, clean water for my family, and basic supplies to help us survive this unimaginable crisis.
My name is Melissa and I am supporting Areej to help her family surviv… Melissa Saul needs your support for Emergency Evacuation for Aree
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing in solidarity with us. Together, we can create a lifeline for my family—a chance to live, to dream, and to hope again.
With love and gratitude, Areej Kassab ❤️

Palestine
The Palestinian territories, including the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem, have been at the heart of one of the longest and most contentious conflicts in modern history. The ongoing struggle for Palestinian rights, sovereignty, and dignity continues to shape the lives of millions and demands the world's attention and action.
Historical Context:
The roots of the Palestinian struggle date back to the early 20th century, with the end of Ottoman rule and the subsequent British mandate. The creation of the state of Israel in 1948, following a UN partition plan, led to the first Arab-Israeli war and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, an event known as the Nakba (catastrophe). Since then, multiple wars, uprisings (Intifadas), and a complex web of negotiations and peace processes have failed to resolve the conflict.
Occupation and Human Rights Violations:
The Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip began after the Six-Day War in 1967 and continues to this day. The occupation has been marked by the construction of settlements deemed illegal under international law, severe restrictions on movement, home demolitions, and land confiscations. The blockade of Gaza has created a humanitarian crisis, with its residents facing dire living conditions, limited access to basic services, and repeated military confrontations.
The Current Situation in Gaza:
In recent months, Gaza has witnessed a significant escalation in violence. The ongoing conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinian armed groups has resulted in a devastating loss of life and widespread destruction. Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire have targeted infrastructure, residential buildings, and even medical facilities, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian situation.
One of the most harrowing aspects of the conflict is the systematic use of excessive force and the killing of innocent civilians by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Israeli journalist Oren Ziv recently published a story that confirms IDF soldiers do not follow any regulations when murdering people in Gaza. According to the article, an anonymous IDF soldier revealed that soldiers have no restrictions when it comes to shooting civilians—they can target anyone, regardless of age or gender. The soldier admitted that they were aware they were killing innocent civilians . You can read the article here.
The blockade of Gaza, now in its 17th year, has crippled the economy and left the majority of its population dependent on humanitarian aid. The lack of access to clean water, electricity, and medical supplies has created a public health crisis, with hospitals struggling to cope with the influx of casualties and chronic shortages.
Daily Realities for Palestinians:
For Palestinians, daily life is fraught with challenges. Checkpoints and the separation wall restrict movement, access to medical care, education, and employment. Settler violence and military incursions contribute to a climate of fear and instability. In East Jerusalem, Palestinian residents face the threat of forced evictions and loss of residency rights.
International Law and Humanitarian Concerns:
Numerous international bodies, including the United Nations, have condemned Israeli policies and actions in the occupied territories. Reports from human rights organizations document systematic abuses, including the use of excessive force, arbitrary detention, and collective punishment. Despite these condemnations, meaningful action to hold violators accountable remains elusive.
Calls for Global Solidarity:
As global citizens, we must stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people in their quest for justice, freedom, and self-determination. Amplifying Palestinian voices, supporting humanitarian efforts, and advocating for international accountability are crucial steps toward a just and lasting peace. Grassroots movements, such as the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) campaign, aim to apply non-violent pressure to end the occupation and secure Palestinian rights.

fuck the government? yes. fuck mother nature? absolutely fucking not.
I changed my last name to something I made up. There’s absolutely no way I’ll be changing it if I get married. I did not spend $300 and three months of juicing out my creativity in my brain just to change it because I decided to sign a legal document and kiss a person in front of an audience.
Congo
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) harbours deep wounds that the world often overlooks. In recent years, the country has been plagued by a complex web of conflict, corruption, and human rights abuses that continue to devastate its people.
Conflict and Instability:
Congo's tumultuous history of conflict is rooted in a struggle for power, control over vast mineral resources, and ethnic tensions. Armed groups, often backed by neighboring countries or international interests, have fueled decades of violence, leaving communities shattered and displaced. The ongoing conflict has led to widespread poverty, malnutrition, and lack of access to basic healthcare and education.
The Disturbing Use of Rape:
One of the most harrowing aspects of the Congolese conflict is the systematic use of rape as a weapon of war. Women, men, and children alike have been subjected to brutal sexual violence perpetrated by armed groups, soldiers, and even civilians. This horrific tactic inflicts profound physical and psychological trauma, tearing apart the social fabric of communities. While women and girls bear the brunt of this violence, experiencing it on a larger scale and more systematically, men and boys are also targeted, facing similar horrors that result in stigma, ostracisation, and enduring health challenges, including HIV/AIDS and reproductive complications.
Humanitarian Crisis and International Response:
The humanitarian crisis in Congo remains dire, with millions in need of assistance. Humanitarian organizations struggle to provide essential aid and protection in the face of ongoing violence and logistical challenges. International efforts to mediate the conflict and support peacebuilding initiatives have had limited success, as underlying issues of governance, corruption, and economic exploitation persist.
Calls for Action:
As global citizens, we cannot turn a blind eye to the suffering in Congo. We must amplify the voices of those affected, advocate for justice and accountability for perpetrators of violence, and support grassroots efforts to promote peace and reconciliation. Addressing the root causes of conflict, including economic inequalities and political instability, is crucial to fostering sustainable change and rebuilding communities.
Conclusion:
Congo's story is a painful reminder of the human cost of conflict and the urgent need for collective action to protect human rights and promote peace worldwide. By raising awareness, supporting humanitarian efforts, and demanding accountability, we can contribute to a future where the people of Congo can live in dignity, free from fear and violence.
Let us stand in solidarity with the resilient people of Congo and work together towards a brighter and more peaceful future.

Why do people care so much about my decisions for my life that doesn’t affect anyone else’s life? It's baffling how invested others can be in my choices when they have no bearing on their own existence.
