this entire tumblr is basically my rant page so…
gonna say a somewhat hot take in the transgender community except i feel like genderbenders are a very poor attempt at a wannabe trans story and even the ones you can write off as a trans allegory of purpose seem very distasteful considering one of the major themes of transgerdism is body dysphoria which is exempt from said stories because what’s the point if your body is already the exact same as a cis girl’s???
as a writer if i personally had to write a genderbender story and made it trans i always had the thought of configuring the genderbend aspect to where the person it happens to is just a feminine looking doll essentially sans the genitalia that way it still embodies the trauma of being transgender with your body feeling incomplete/inhuman while still keeping the general aspect of a genderbender story the same
i should write a t4t mizuena fic just to strip my girl Ena from the shackles of being tied to the devastating titles of “token cis” and “chaser”
that is a whole trans girl helping her other transfem girlie find herself!!
i wouldn’t go as far as to say “mainstream” per say but I wish trans headcanons for younger characters weren’t so ostracized/foreign in the community: trans kids exist too!!!
And tbh the thought of such headcanons are so wholesome, especially paired with equally trans parent figure in their life or cis and confused but sweetly sympathetic parental figure.
maybe this is too #woke to say this but it genuinely ticks me off seeing NSFW artists relate genitalia to whether someone is a top or bottom and I’ve seen it so many times done with transfem headcanons in art and fan fiction it becomes really annoying,
not saying you have to make transfems submissive bottoms all the time but it really does feel like the artist just tries to find a progressive way to make a female character top without having to use a dildo and doesn’t feel like they actually headcanon said character as trans
might just be spit roasting some of these poems from time to time periodically the next few days cause I got some saved up, don’t expect many to be that good or grammatically correct: it’s mainly just a pastime hobby
