A lack of belief doesn’t prove or disprove anything. Proving there is no God would be harder than hypothetically proving there is no gold in China. Until you check under every rock you’re not certain. Maybe the person doesn’t see compelling evidence. But if you use a metal detector to find flowers it won’t work. For now we don’t have an official method to test for God.

What we do have ? The Holy Spirit. Seek God with all your heart. The Holy Spirit may testify to your soul.

The Fabricated Sources of the Quran

It is a fundamental Muslim belief that the Qur’an is the very Word of Allah and that it, therefore, does not contain human sources. [...] Yet, in spite of this, a persistent charge of those who heard the Qur’an for the first time was that Muhammad was simply repeating well known material:

The bible is not the only book of plagiarised myths.

We can trace the origin of many bible stories back to earlier myths (Sumerian, Egyptian, etc) based on their context and language, so we even know which version of a myth it’s stealing from “inspired by”.

Funnily enough, we can also do the same thing with the quran, which is supposed to be the direct word of Allah, not humans. Either Allah punk’d Muhammad by simply regurgitating his favourite Tales from the Public Domain, or Muhammad was a lying conman attempting (poorly) to pass off pre-existing myths and legends as “revealed knowledge.”

‘Devil’s advocate’ was a real job until 1983. 

Any time the Catholic church wanted to canonize a saint, an official acted as the devil’s advocate by questioning the candidate’s saintliness and arguing against their supposed miracles. If the potential saint could hold up to the intense criticism, the church knew they officially deserved the title.
