Nah, that’s okay. I said my birthday is never special and you said you would make it special.

I said in groups I always get overshadowed so I like to keep gatherings small, you said of course.

I said I’m lonely and no one talks to me, you said you would. 

Yet here we are. My birthday celebration will no longer be about my birthday, will have more people I don’t know or want to see than people I do and I’ll be ignored and overshadowed and alone. Not to mention feel worse than when the day started out.
