Everyone needs to remember this - writers as well. It’s okay to just write whatever you actually like and not write what people want you to.
au where when mc dies in the dangerous fellows world, or experienced any other ending (other than the true ending) instead of waking up and it being a dream, it was actually real and an alternate reality. kind of like the anime “when they cry” she’s going through these worlds to try to achieve the true ending where everyone can be saved.
even if she gets a good ending, it still loops back after awhile.
i can imagine mc slowly starting to go crazy and falling into despair at watching the people she loves die.
but i can also imagine like in one world she’s so tired of scarlett’s bullshit she just beats the shit out of her and jumps out a window so she can move on to the next.
i feel like i could add more to this- it could also be instead of the past worlds being actually real, time is just reset instead. so you feel better and the dangerous fellows boys don’t actually die in alternate worlds.
but i also love angst-
and i just love the idea of mc slowly growing crazy and breaking down from all the trauma.
this is just something i thought of so like- take it and run with it
i imagine a scenario where after years of looping, mc is so crazy that at this point she kills all the dangerous fellows herself claiming she’s giving them a merciful death and saving them from suffering. then she expects to loop again, but she doesn’t and the realization hits her of what she did and that she’s stuck in this reality that she created.
or maybe to save the angst- years later she loops back again. OH BUT CAN YOU IMAGINE SHE’S IN THE PROCESS OF HEALING AND WAKES UP ONE DAY IS BACK IN THE LOOP?!??
i went to crazy with this...but the whole premise is mc is constantly looping back (or going to an alternate world if you wanna make it more angsty) until she finally achieves the true ending and saves everyone. but it’s not something that can be done in like 5 tries. it’s YEARS of looping to save her friends.

Pet Shop AU
I have this headcanon (I hope I spelled that right...) that Eugene is allergic to cats, but he loves to pet them anyway and has always wanted one of his own.
I could definitely see him and MC in a pet shop AU where MC works there and Eugene visits so he could see the cats since he can’t have one for himself- and the cats absolutely ADORE him and will jump on him (he still hasn’t gotten used to it yet) and he and MC get closer, and eventually he visits not just to see the cats, but to see MC to.
