The uncelebrated birthday
Author Note: Sooo I know Shoto’s birthday was
Jan 11 but I just think he might be the kind of person who doesn't like to celebrate his birthday i feel his is more the type of person who feels that “is a regular day” so you plan a whole “non celebration” during the week bcs you wanna give this edgy boy a cute day.

You were laying in bed with your boyfriend next to you, none of you were specially sleepy, you were watching the clock, waiting for it to mark 00:00 and when it did, you almost jump of excitement, which earn you a funny look from Shoto’s place.
— May I ask, what is it with this all excitement?
He asked, a bit confused but intrigued since you always have found a way to unintentionally surprise him
-- Well I'm just happy is the start of a new day! Don't you love that? Happy regular day Shoto!
At first he didn’t really understood the excitement, it was a regular day, just like everyday, but seen the excitement on your face he couldn’t ruin the illusion for you.
— Well, happy regular day to you too y/n
He answers with a small smile, it was barely there but it was a sweet gesture.
— You know what? I’m having a midnight crave! Let’s go to the kitchen!
She says standing up and technically running downstairs, he follows her with his natural calmness and when he arrived there was received with the entire class all of them having cup cakes
— Apparently everyone had a midnight crave, what a coincidence’ don’t you think Shoto?
He simply nods as he takes his sit right next to you, he didn't express it that clear with words, but he did appreciate the little detail
-- How does this mysterious cupcake arrive?
He asked while inspecting the little cupcake that was red with white icing decorated with tiny little snowflakes
-- Thats a secret you’ll never know!
Mina says while giving you a high five! She was a little down when you told her you weren't planning anything for Shoto’s birthday by request of him, but she fly straight to cloud 9 when you share your little plan, she found it so romantic and said you were the best partner
-- A secret? I wonder if we should be eating this then
-- i think we are safe, i told my mom i was having crave of cupcakes and she send the ingredients, the girls help me baked them!
He question giving a funny look to the cupcake, he knew you werent that fan of bakery
-- With a lot of help, but the decoration is all mine!
You confess with a little blush
He said giving you a small sweet smile before start eating
That's how you spend your early hours in the morning, just chilling out with friends, having a lovely moment while eating cupcakes
During the morning you all were a little sleepy, but you were determined to made this day as special as you can.
So, during lunch break, you took his hand and run upstairs leading the way to the rooftop, Shoto was a bit taken of guard, specialy since he saw the mini picnic you organize, he even wondered if he have miss an special date, he started to mentally counting the special dates you two have but couldnt come with any that explains all this little details
-- Why are we eating in the rooftop? Pretty much is forbidden
He question as he takes his seat next to you, and thats when he smell it, soba.
-- Just thought it will be a nice change, and the view today is so pretty! And yeah but is not a big deal, probably they would not notice we are here!
-- Fair point, and I guess it is a nice weather... Why are we eating soba?
-- yes, is cold... So you know is my favorite
-- Well, we can call it a destiny casualty
You said before the two of you started eating and talking about everything and nothing at the same time. After eating that delicious soba, you two headed to the park and then to the amuse park, but you insisted on leaving early.
He did catch up eventually that this was your way of celebrating him while respecting his wishes of not making a big deal with his birthday.
He enjoy deeply every little moment with you, he was definitely surprise when he saw the place where you were heading now.
-- So... Since I know how deeply you love her, think it will be nice to be with her today, I asked for permissions and everything... Sooo you can stay with her
He just stare at you, for a really long time, you were usually quite an expert in reading him, but since you were so nervous you weren't able to, he had an expression you never really saw before
-- I want you to meet her
He whispers softly as he squeeze your hand
-- Would you want me to introduce you? if you don't want too is fine I'm aware it can be a little too much or maybe too fast…
-- I’ll be honor, please, i want to meet her
And that’s how this little non birthday celebration came to an end.
