If you're still not quite clear on what the article is saying, this woman had a rapidly growing malignant tumor until her doctor poked it with one needle to take a sample.

Her immune cells responded to that tiny little needle wound as they normally would, and only then detected something wrong with the surrounding cells, attacking the cancer they now associated with that trivial damage.

It doesn't reliably work that way all the time or we would have noticed this happening a lot more often, but this would also seem to imply that, across the entire history of the practice, there's probably an above-zero number of people who actually beat cancer through acupuncture.

Buck debated saying something, thinking through how he could put it into words when it hit him like a ton of bricks. Tommy. He’d said that someone’s first queer relationship usually wasn’t their last, and Buck couldn’t do that. He could survive a rejection, but he couldn’t survive knowing what it felt like to have Eddie and losing that. He couldn’t work next to Eddie, knowing what his lips felt like or what he looked like disheveled in a bed they shared or wrapped around him when they were making breakfast. He wouldn’t come back from that. He’d let Eddie get his first out of the way, and then he’d say something. Then, he could be the last if Eddie would have him. Or Eddie’s comes out, but Buck took Tommy’s words to heart, and he won’t stop trying to set Eddie up so he can get his first out of the way. Eddie has plans of his own that Buck is really getting in the way of.

god remember when eddie moved away and buck couldnt stop talking about him because eddies all he thinks about and then to deal with his loneliness he slept with his ex. the ex who broke up with buck due to thinking hed end up with eddie. for the record. and they sleep together snd the ex makes 17 eggs for breakfast and buys champagne and says im so happy we can be together now that eddie isnt around because you two are gay and in love but now hes in texas and so buck threw him out of his house and never said no. essentially he did not say no im not. and then he talks to his sister who says yes you are and with the utmost importance he is once again bad at denying it. and that all happened on our tvs on abc network. and they never talked about it again
