Was curious to try out creating alpha patterns with pony beads/kandi. Unsure about whether I should finish it or try with a different medium as the beads are not perfect squares and thus will create either a wider or longer image than the reference's scale/proportions.
Another issue is the cardboard is not long enough to capture the full pixel grid. While the columns line up well, the rows are semi jagged and create a further disorganization to the product that I'm undecided upon.
Moving Forward:
I have some possible routes I'm debating on taking:
Stringing the columns individually as 'beaded curtains' are constructed; then, assembling each in respective order on a dowel for hanging purposes.
Recreating this piece on a larger cardboard loom to capture the entire alpha pattern and possibly incorporating drinking straws to keep the rows straightened.
Continuing the project as is and simply making peace with the cropped image and unorganized rows.
Which option will produce the most aesthetically pleasing product to look at once displayed?
