7 for the voice meme?
Two truths, one lie
Good luck
Voice Meme: Tell a joke?
Iâm honestly kind of ashamed of this one
Voice Meme
Iâm stealing this from notallbees and sonickitty, because it looks fun! Reply or send me an ask and you can hear me talk transplanted Californian at you!
1) Give an introduction! Put specifics in the ask
2) Read a poem! Feel free to specify a poem in the ask, or if you want Iâll read one of my own :D
3) Read a passage from your favorite book or fanfiction. Alternatively, do a one-person-show of a scene from a movie or play.
Feel free to suggest a passage or scene in the ask.
4) Tell a joke. (Preferably a really bad one - I do actually have a brilliant bad joke) 5) Tell a story from your childhood. Feel free to suggest a story in the ask, like asking me about the first time I did x, y, or z!
6) Tell me about the most exciting thing youâve ever done or would like to do.
7) Tell two truths and a lie, so that people have to guess which is true.
8) Give an instructions on how to perform a task of the askerâs choosing. Example: If the ask says âteach me how to dougie,â you must give vocal instructions on how to dougie.
9) Can you record yourself speaking in different languages/accents?
10) Sing a song, if you dare!
Feel free to suggest a song in the ask! (If I donât know the song, I might sing you something else instead, but I promise it will still be worth your while.)
Feel free to reblog so more people can play!
"So how's. How's that Suicune-hunting going for you."
"Alas, not very well. I find myself confounded at every turn by its elusive nature. Worry not, though, I will not surrender hope of one day laying eyes on the beast."
I take it ya don't get much action wit' them raggedy threads o' yers. Take it from yer boy an' ditch th' cape.
Eusine looked bemused. Heâd thought that the cape tied the whole ensemble together, making him look infinitely more dashing than the bright lavender suit alone ever could.
Then he considered the source.
âWould I be replacing the cape with anything? Or should I consider getting some gold chains and a hoodie while I am already changing my wardrobe? I am legitimately curious, because while swapping out the suit for more casual clothing in general would make me less conspicuous and offer much more storage space on my person, I am rather fond of the suit and cape. We have been through much together. Also it would necessitate cleaning the many spares out of my closet.â

That expression of anticipation was nice, definitely better than a scared or unsure one he would expect from others. If anything, it made the raven head smirk.Â
This was guaranteed to be fun~!
âIs that so? Well, I advice you to still be cautious, unless you do wish to bring harm upon yourself. And I think we could head to the shore at a leisure pace. If my observations are correct the apperition is the most stable around midnight on the nights of full moon and weâre still a bit far from the right time.â
He spoke in a quiet tone as always, disregarding the common manners of at least telling the man his name after he pulled him off the street.
Well, Yokai wasnât the most polite man anyways so it was to be expected.
âIt is hardly the first time Iâve risked life and limb in the name of curiosity, friend. Possibly the first time it wasnât my idea to do so, but that is largely immaterial. Dispelling happens to be something of a . . . well, hobby is not the right word. Pocket industry? It lies within my skill set, but is not something I do frequently.â
The absence of the right word dogged his thoughts, nagging at him. What was the term? He couldnât remember.
Time to start walking.
For somebody who had based his life around the pursuit of legends, Eusine had always found himself strangely incurious about the presence of the spirits of the dead, malignant or otherwise. This would be an interesting experience.

occultex:
It was a chilly night, like any other would be in a city by the sea. The wind blowed and swayed, the fallen leaves that should have been on the slowly recovering trees were flying through the air instead, followed by the noise of the sea waves hitting the concrete walls in the harbour.
It was one of those nights, one of the nights where it was deadly quiet as and dark, only source of light being street lamps scattered through the streets and the full moon up in the dark sky⌠Or at least the only source of normal light. The truth was, there was a different sort of light flickering in the harbour.
A flickering and weak light, blinking in and out of existance as it stood by the distant lighthouse. It held a pale and faint shade of blue to it, one almost so weak youâd call it white.
And that light was what made Yokai uneasy and determined to find out what exactly it was. Of course, despite his lack of fear of the mysterious apparition itself he dared not go alone. The water was dangerous and he knew it full well, so just to be safe he decided to make an exaption and agree to take someone along with him just this once.
Turning his head as he heard footsteps approaching, he looked the person over with a small sigh, well⌠This is what happenes when you randomly choose people for ghost hunts, but it wasnât like he could complain now. Besides, it was just for tonight.
âIâll ask one last time⌠Are you sure you want to come with me? If itâs a ghost it could be malicious and bring harm upon both of us.â
He warned, even though heâd be lying if he said he wasnât looking forward to it just a little bit.
Eusine would have to have been living under a stone to have researched the supernatural and not found anything about the most basic of the viewable apparitions -- the will-o-the-wisp. Such things were usually written off as swamp gas or tricks of the light, but there was always a handful of instances where this wasnât the case.
Theyâd never really interested him enough to go actively looking for such things, but when Eusine got pulled off the twilit street by a stringy-looking boy who pointed out across the bay at a flickering form that was distinctly not just light playing on the water, his curiosity got the better of him.
âIâll ask one last time⌠Are you sure you want to come with me? If itâs a ghost it could be malicious and bring harm upon both of us.â
The tall man smiled wanly, a thin-lipped expression that displayed predatory anticipation more than actual mirth. âI think you will find me more than prepared for whatever this . . . thing can bring to bear. More so than anybody else you could have pulled off the street. When do you want to get started?â
Eusine, on one of the days where he more keenly feels the injustice of his unfortunate star.
Bullet Express//open
Travelling at approximately 200 miles per hour, the Johto bullet train system could move people and cargo anywhere in the region conveniently and at speeds far higher than anything biological had any business moving. Fortunately, the mad bastards in charge of the rail lines had made it their business to keep people moving that quickly.
Travelling at approximately 200 miles per hour in the open, Eusine looked like a right mess. Heâd received an urgent phone call from a contact about a sighting of Suicune and he needed to be fresh onto the scene for the charms to work if he missed it again. His hopes were immediately dashed upon arriving at the train station and discovering that the train he needed had departed twenty minutes ago.
That was where Mikoto, his trusty Magnezone, came in. She could effectively magnetize herself, and him, in order to haul them through the air at significantly faster speeds than simple magnetic levitation could achieve. Aside from the incredibly disconcerting feeling of being stuck in a railgun the size and length of the railway in front of him, it was a pretty amazing way to travel.
Dismounting the metal disc, Eusine stumbled exhaustedly through the train station until he reached a chair. âRemind me . . . to never . . . . zzzzzzzzz.â The oddly dressed and heavily mussed man passed out in the chair.
Rain rain go away//Eusine and Morty
@gigglesintheshadows
The  day was not going well.
Rain was threatening to ruin pretty much everything Eusine was carrying and he didnât particularly want to go back into the crowded supermarket and fistfight Grandma McThunderpurse for another loaf of crusty bread. The first round had taken half an hour and a humiliating number of hits to the jaw before he escaped with a slightly battered loaf and what remained of his dignity. Now he stood under a bus stop praying to whatever gods may be listening, as Arceus clearly wasnât, that the rain stop long enough for him to get back to his apartment with his groceries.
Alright . . . so (OOC)
Yup
Kate closed her eyes for several moments. âHave you ever heard of Oblivia?â The question was more rhetorical than anything. Of course he hadnât. After all her studies even she had never heard of the region despite it being under ranger jurisdiction. That is until her job specifically called for it. Oblivians worked hard to keep themselves under the radar and after visiting it herself she understood why.
Kate gently dipped a finger into her cup of water and lazily traced it across the rim, creating an ominous hum as she spoke.Â
âThe place is aptly named wouldnât you say? Very few have ever heard itâs name let alone visited itâs lands. Though I suppose that adds to itâs appeal. ImagineâŚluscious islands barely touched by humans, devoid of conflict to the point that many pokemon forget how to use even the most basic of attacks. As you can imagine this place is ideal for various creatures with special needs. Pokemon who are endangered, pokemon who have been mistreated, pokemon who need healing, andâŚpokemon who are especially attune to nature. A certain trio of pokemon, while not residing there indefinitely have made it a point to return to certain islands frequently. The thunder beast, whoâs very body crackles with thousands of volts of electricity, Raikou, resides on renbow island. The emperor of volcanos, Entei can be found on Mitonga island and of course, purifier of lakes, whose grace and elegance knows no equal, -â  She finally lifted her finger from the glass, letting it hover over the water as a single drop of water fell from the tip. The ringing had so seamlessly blended into the silence that itâs absence was almost equally unsettling.  Â
â-Suicune. frequents Sophian Island,â
She took a glance in Eusines direction, gauging his reaction to her words.Â
âVisiting any of these islands is no easy tasks. Youâll first of all have to make an appeal to the Ranger Union to let you visit the region. The process of getting there is rather long and complicated and the ride over youâll most definitely be blindfolded. Youâll be stripped of electronics and checked for trackers or listening devices. Iâm unsure of the rules on carrying pokemon but you can be sure, just as any other ranger region, that youâll be unable to battle. In fact, Iâm fairly certain youâll be required to take an entire course on using a styler at the ranger school so that you can be licenced to carry a school styler with you on your journey. Youâll also most likely require a guide,â Guide was putting it rather nicely. It was more like a babysitter than anything. âI suggest you file a special request for a ranger youâre familiar with or your guide might become yet another roadblock in your quest. I for one would be more than happy to accompany you if you so please,â
Kate finally paused, both to allow her friend time to take in the bounty of information she had just relayed to him as well as to give him a chance to interject with some questions, of which she was sure he might have several.Â
It was all Eusine could do to not let his jaw drop to the table. The secrecy, the paranoia, the sheer effort involved in hiding an entire archipelago from the world at large was simply mind-boggling. Heâd known that the rangers were a secretive and territorial bunch, aggressively enforcing their laws within their own lands and holding in general contempt the practice of Pokemon training outside of them, but he had never dreamed that they had the resources and wherewithal to pull of something on this scale.
Of course, upon further consideration, it did make a certain amount of sense. For the group that holds the autonomy of Pokemon as nearly sacred, concealing a location that such important Pokemon frequent would be of critical importance. It might look excessive to an outsider, but even the measure of putting anybody who even considered going to this island chain through the ranger academy would make sure they were grounded in principles that would make them significantly less likely to abuse that access once they received it.
âEverything about what you have told me strains credibility. An entire island chain hidden from the world? Frequented by mighty legends? Of course, you are telling this tale to somebody with no reason to disbelieve you, as I have witnessed far stranger things. Your offer is most generous, though I am not yet sure if I would be willing to drop everything and enroll in the Ranger Academy. How long does the process usually take?â
Crash Landing â Eusine & Clair
If there was any ordinary day in Blackthorn City, today was that day.  The first day of summer was always the busiest in the small mountainous village.  Whether it was collecting crops or patching roofs before the rains came, everyone had a job to do.
Today Clair had the hardest job of them all. After a long winter, the dragons were ready to shed their skins for a newer and stronger set of scales.  Unfortunately, not all molted successfully.  Some dragonsâ scales were worn and damaged, and could not be removed without help.  Clair hated seeing them that way.  All she had to do was collect the necessary herbs and make the ointment.  Then they could shed their skins without pain.
It was the middle of the day and the sun shone hot.  Beads of sweat dripped down Clairâs face and back, but she was not to be disturbed.  Sheâd been gathering herbs for hours. She was exhausted.  Only the thought of her struggling dragons kept her going.  She could not fail them.
âThatâs the last of it,â Clair panted, plucking the final ingredient.  She placed it in her bag and painstakingly stood up.  The heaviness in her heart eased.  Now all that was left to do was to go to the healing hut andâ
âLook out!  Look out!  Iâm not in a position to control my descent!â
Someone shouted at her, their words echoing across the landscape.  Clair looked around, exhaustion slowing her movements.  Suddenly a shadow crossed the sun, and she was shaded from its extreme heat.  But as she watched, she found that it was no cloud: the form grew larger, as if it were coming towards herâŚ
Oh shit!  She got out of the way a moment too late.  The person crashed into Clair and knocked her onto the ground hard.  Her head hit a rock and searing pain surged through her skull.  Clair tried to sit up and failed.  Someone was talking.  Her mind whirled.
When the world stopped spinning, Clair opened her eyes.  Her assailant stood over her, a mix of shock and worry on his face.  There was something awfully familiar about the man.  He tried to help her up, but Clair slapped his hand away.
She stood up without his help, her mind on nothing but the man who crash landed into her. His brown hair was slicked back, and his bangs lay stupidly over his face. Her backpack lay forgotten.  "What was that?!â she shouted, anger boiling like a raging volcano.  Clair jabbed a finger in his chest.  "Why didnât you watch where you were going?! I was standing right there!â
The womanâs indignation was evident and fully justified. It was terribly bad manners to crash into somebody from the upper troposphere. Her jabbing finger drove into his sternum, pushing Eusine back a step. He held up his hands, trying to ward off further physical harm. âExcuse me, my dear, but I was watching where I was going. Unfortunately, I lacked the means to actually do anything about my trajectory on account of my Jumpluff being exhausted beyond all belief. The poor fellow flew me halfway across Johto in one trip.â
He turned, picked up the dropped bag, and offered it to the woman. âFor what it is worth, I apologize with all of my heart. If you would have me, I would render aid to you. If you are who I think you are, the experience would be both fascinating and sufficiently difficult to serve as atonement.â
âMy name is Eusine, mythologist and adventurer extraordinaire.â
