Evan checked time on his phone and let out a sigh not really sure if what he was doing was the right thing to do or not. Specially, since his sister had told him to relax and not worry but when it came to Helena he would always worry specially in a time like this and he knew the one person who would understand why he was worried.
Lestrange and Rosier kids had practically grown up at each others place and were family. No one could question that, despite the little tension between him and Rodolphus. He knew They had issues but there was one promise they had made to each other which he knew they wont ever break no matter how bad things were between them. A part of him felt guilty about what he was doing with the organisationâhelping the order. He was basically betraying his family but the other part of him was pissed off at rodolphus. They had promised not to turn into their own fathers, knowing what they. He thought they were on same page on the issue concerned but here they were few months later with Rodolphus doing everything his father did.
He knocked on the door before peaking inside, âHey, You had your lunch yet? Wanna grab a bite? I could do with some sushi?â he asked as he leaned against the the door frame. âI have no ulterior motives, dont give me that look for fucks sake. Lets go, come on.â he said a bit impatiently.
@rodlcstrangeâ
In the entirety of his career at the Ministry, there had never been a dull moment within the International Magical Law Office, and today was certainly been no exception. It had been more frantic than ever as of late. Even in all his capabilities and that of his staff, Rodolphus was struggling to remaining afloat. He had hoped that locking himself away would bring him the necessary peace and solitude to remain productive, but his actions yielded no such result. Upon hearing yet another knock at his door, his gaze averted from his desk towards the doorway for a few seconds. Upon noticing who it was that stood in the doorway, his gaze quickly returned back to the files on his desk. âThe matter of wanting to get lunch and having the luxury of doing so are two entirely different matters,â he said, in a sharp and impatient tone that had become trademark of most of their recent conversations. His gaze remained unmoving from the files he was sorting through, a sign that would have indicated to all others to make themselves scarce. But Evan was hardly one of his subordinates, and his approach which would send anyone else running had not deterred him in the slightest. Sensing that he would not be taking no for an answer, and having no desire to waste any more time than was necessary, Rod eventually placed his quill upon the desk after making the necessary notations on the document that required his signature. âJust as I know that look, which, by the way? Not even remotely transparent,â Rod countered, shifting back in his seat, aiming a pointed but curious look in Evanâs direction. âWe both know youâre not here to see whether or not Iâve eaten, and Iâm not in any particular mood to play along with this idle game of yours. Whatâs this really about?â
âI agree. I havent had that luxury most of this week, So would you kindly get your arse in gear and get up.âEvan said sighing as he watched the man go back to his files and if anyone saw him working like this would not believe he was one of the leading forces to the most dangerous organisations in the wizarding world. Thins had somehow turned into this between them where they couldnât even get lunch. Rodolphus knew of what he believed in but Evan was still with the organisation, helping the cause or so they believed.
âYou are so fucking stubborn.â Evan grumbled under his breath as he looked around his office and knowing rodolphus there were all the protection charms in place but he still didnt trust to talk there. âIts about Helena. I dont want to talk about it here. Can we please go grab a drink?âhe asked clearly not happy with how things had started. Maybe he could bring up why exactly he was alienating people who actually cared about him and picking up rats like Peter for the damn organisation.
