send "đŹ" to stumble across my muse having a smoke while all alone (send "smoke" if you can't see the emoji)
Evie was standing outside Rick's place waiting for his dealer. The van that pulled under the garage lights looked vividly familiar. "Eddie, you handle Lipton's commisionary while he's in jail." She was finishing off her last cigarette. She only smoked when she was stressed.
She handed him the commisionary money in return for some weed. It looked like the Cunningham sisters' taste in men didn't fall far from the apple tree.

PROMPTS FOR LISTENING IN / EAVESDROPPING * Â assorted dialogue, adjust as necessary
i heard everything you said.
can you make out what they're saying?
hang on. i can hear them talking in the other room.
did you hear that?
how long were you listening?
keep this between us.
you were listening in.
i didn't want you to hear that.
well. now you know the truth.
maybe if you put your ear against the door, we can hear them.
did you catch anything that was said?
i wish i could hear what they're saying.
so when were you going to tell me the truth?
that conversation was private.
how long have you been standing there?
i was going to tell you the truth eventually.
how much did you hear?
it's not polite to eavesdrop, you know.
i heard you mention my name.
what was that conversation about?
why were you hiding that from me?
why can't you just say it in front of me?
it's not the right time to tell you.
this is between us.
i heard you say my name, so i came to find out what's going on.
you can tell me the truth.
i already know what's going on.
there's no point in whispering.
it's too loud. i can't make out what they're saying.
try getting a little closer.
let me try to hear what they're saying.
wait here. i'll sneak up on them.
don't say a word.
be quiet or else they'll hear us!
did i just hear that right?
well, you heard wrong.
that's not what i said.
this is what happens when you eavesdrop.
you didn't hear everything.
you're taking things out of context.
i wasn't listening!
not a peep! you understand me?
i was just standing here, minding my own business.
i didn't hear a word.
that's not at all what i implied.
i'm not sure what i heard.
you heard that, too, right?
i don't want you listening in on any more conversations.
maybe i heard a few things here and there.
tell me what you know.
why are you whispering?
i hate it when you keep secrets from me.

Chrissy didnât answer Evelynnâs question right away, knowing words wouldnât come out. There was a great lump in her throat, slightly painful to swallow as she held herself together. âI feel like..â She took a deep breath with a shuddering exhale out, wrapping her right hand over her left handâs fingers in a grip. No point in crying, right? Their mother would hear it. Even a faint sniffle. âI feel like I havenât slept for a whole week.â Sleeping wasnât peaceful anymore, and she wasnât sure if the entity that was haunting her was done. Her gut was telling her that it wasnât. Then, she finally looked up at her sister and in the softest whisper, Chrissy asked her. âWhatâs happening to me, Evie?â
Evelynn sat next to Chrissy on her bed. She was assuming Chrissy was nervous about graduating. There was the pressure to get into college Know what you wanted to be, and go to school for it. There was a void of where do i go from here inbetween still feeling like a kid, and a young adult. "I think you're scared of your next chapter. People fear the unknown." Evie placed her hand on her sister's hand. "Think of it this way. You'll be away from mom."
continued @edhellfire
"Seriously. Go on before Laura gets home" Evie refused to call that woman mom. If she had it her way she'd collect her siblings, and take them back to California far away from this shithole town. She wasn't going to leave her little brother behind.
She walked Chrissy's friend or boyfriend to the door. She knew her sister wasn't as into Jason as their mother was for her. Looks like her little sister had some defiance in her after all. "You're Eddie right?" She asked, confirming his name before her next question. "What happened that night at your trailer. I think Chrissy thinks I wont believe her." It was hard watching her sister shut down. All she could tell her was that she was having trouble sleeping.

Evelynn knocked softly on her younger sister's door. She opened it, standing in the doorway. "How are you holding up?" She closed Chrissy's door. Evie didn't want their mom eavesdropping on their conversation. It was like Laura Cunningham to rub her nose in everyone's business.
