A sweet pink Gyaru (Cult party kei ish) look~
You can’t just meitu your way into gyaru. XOXO
why…not? Plenty of popular J-gals are photoshopped to hell and back. And fyi… your definition of gal isn’t universal. You, like others (including me tbh) think that trends of the past are what define it for you, when it’s people. Gals of the early 00s didn’t wear huge lashes or lens but were still gal. Gals today have more or less forgone the spikey lashes and deep tans.
I like my older gal styles but I wouldn’t fault someone for not adhering to the image of gal I have in my head.
Who are you even talking about? What JP Gals are changing their bone structure with photo editing tools? Often times, if any editing is done, it’s just smoothing out or adding a filter.
People do not define a style. A style is a style, not a person. I understand that there is more to gal than having a deep tan (see: Shiroi gyaru and basically every other gyaru style that falls under more sweet categories), but the makeup is literally the style.
People keep using the original gals of the 90’s and 2000’s as an excuse to not wear makeup or even attempt to look gal.
Photoshop is not gyaru. Meitu is not gyaru. You wanna be gyaru? Wear the damn makeup and don’t edit it on. Basic.
XOXO
PS. I don't "meitu my way into gyaru" nor change my bone structure. All I did was brighten my eyes in this makeup and added filters. You can see it through that I DO know gal makeup in my other photos. Photoshop or not, I'm still Gyaru and I don't need anyone to tell me if I'm one or not. Thank you very much.
