Roseate Spoonbill

The newest pattern available in my Etsy Shop! This pattern is based on a Roseate Spoonbill I saw in my backyard last year. I'm originally from the PNW (which is beautiful in its own right) but getting to see PINK BIRDS just wandering around my backyard is so cool.

I'm also super happy with how this pattern turned out and I think it would be great for beginners! Don't let the multi color water or shadows intimidate you. The pattern comes with step by step photos and detailed instructions.

Hand Embroidery Kits

I am so excited that the hand embroidery kit for my bird of paradise design is now available in my Etsy shop! It comes with everything you need to embroider this tropical floral pattern. Get the kit here!

My past experience as a manufacturing engineer writing work instructions for building everything from constructions equipment to rockets has made writing the embroidery instructions super fun and enjoyable. One of my main goals with Evergreen Sunshine Studios is to make embroidery accessible to everyone by writing clear and easy to understand patterns and guides. See the photos below for a couple of sample photos of what pattern instruction looks like and what a stitch page looks like.

So, if you're new to embroidery or have never embroidered before this kit is perfect for beginners. The kit comes with a 36 page booklet that has detailed photos and instructions for the pattern and for the getting started with embroidery and learning 10 different common embroidery stitches. It also comes with a QR code for digital access to a printable pattern for the bird of paradise and a bonus stitch practice pattern.

This species is not a “true eel”, but is in a group called the spiny eels.
