I think kafka’s diaries are the strongest evidence that journaling is not necessarily good for your mental health
it's because he didn't use washi tape

an underrated detail in pride and prejudice is that elizabeth bennett was home alone on the day darcy proposed because she had a headache. can you imagine. this was in the pre-painkillers era. you're at home with a headache and then this asshole walks into the room and tells you he loves you and wants to marry you even though he hates your whole family and you're beneath him. imagine having to deal with that while also having a headache. she doesn't even have ibuprofen
I would crash out if I was her
Aisha bint Abu Bakr is celebrated for the wrong reasons.
Aisha bint Abu Bakr has to be one of the most indomitable forces to have existed in Arabia. The fact that Shias hatred for her supersedes perhaps even that for Muawiya or Yazid, with nicknames like Al-Fahisha (the whore) being ascribed to her also screams of misogyny. Was she a saint? No, absolutely not. But, she was intelligent, courageous, exuberant, and determined to make sure that she was not suppressed by the patriarchy. She ensured her voice was heard, that she was a person of her own despite being Muhammad's most celebrated and beloved wife. A woman like Aisha could even be considered a protofeminist idol, but alas, to Sunnis she's merely his most beloved wife, and to Shias the worst of all mankind.

anneboleynqueen’s picks: worst headpieces from the tudors A note from the op: This is a comedic take on the fashion of the show. I “hate” only two of these. This is obviously a case of “we can’t have our hot leading lady wearing “stupid stuff” on her head” as well as “we need historic headwear, who cares if it’s decades off”. At least Anne isn’t wearing a crown in every episode of season 2.
oh also I really like when someone explains why they did the thing while they're apologizing
I want to understand them better and also if they can analyze their own behavior I have more confidence that they can actually fix it in the future
